Server Treatment of LGBTQ+ vs PoC
I'd abandoned bringing this up on the forums anymore because it seemed like the staff and users preferred to focus on less political things but given the recent announcement on lgbtq+ issues I can't help but feel like it needs to be said that this server has a strong slant against issues that only affect racial minorities. Lgbtq+ gets a hard "stop this behavior now" whereas when the topic is something like how the rules and server design are intended to pidgeonhole drow into maintaining the 3.x status quo that was literally deemed racist the solution from staff isn't to encourage a change of behavior, discuss equitably in the rp guidelines, or even to do anything at all. Rather when it's a PoC matter the reply is "Don't call things racist ic".
Re: Server Treatment of LGBTQ+ vs PoC
Sexual preference in forgotten realms is never an area of contention or conflict in lore. It is not lore-friendly to be against sexual preferences as there is no bigotry nor hatred directed towards these individuals in Faerun.
When you're looking at racial prejudice and racism in this setting, we have races that are clearly defined and seperated from real-world indentities.
