inspector damasis kudos
i rolled samira a while ago but i only got the energy today to write my kudos.
samira was a lot of fun for me. i was inspired by the categorical imperative to inform my paladin's conduct. it was really challenging in a way that was a lot of fun and let me get to explore a lot of stories with other chars who i would have expected to have been more hostile with. i really enjoyed the challenge of playing lawful in a town designed to be chaotic, so I also really have to give a shout out to Guldorand at large for embracing the chaos.
some personal shout outs to
Tashtego, Ormag, Dave, Davida, Sarek, Verny, Bill Waverun, that one red wizard and his friend whose house we broke into lol, Johnathan Holtz, Siltrin, Valentino, Valterion, Vaeryll, Velvet, Guld Watch Friends, Raewynn, Aisling and Lothar, Jahran Half-Elven, Anrin, paladin pals Najih and Hiram, Mariangel
Special shout out to Angela and Gwen, who really impressed me with her Guld administration. We would not have been able to have the really cool chapter of Guld with radical changes without Angela taking the risk on a new character. It just would've been cool if more of old Guld's crowd had stuck around to be part of it.
sorry i rolled very suddenly and without fanfare.

Samira was awesome and Najih was sad he couldn't poach her to greener pastures.

Aw! I'm sad I won't get to see Samira anymore, but I enjoyed the short interactions we had! Thanks!
Re: inspector damasis kudos
Ormag would've disappeared a lot sooner were it not for characters like Samira making him way more dynamic and enjoyable. It takes a special kind of roleplayer to bring out the potential in others.

Excellent character, good luck for the future.

I played Aisling and I really wanted to thank you for being a presence on the server with Samira. She felt like a genuine character with her own story and the interactions I had with her IC certainly helped me flesh out my own character's story. It was a pleasure getting to play with you and I look forward to whatever you bring us next!
Re: inspector damasis kudos
When thinking about the impression Samira made on the server and my PC's story, I remember the long pauses in our conversations - as if, in the moment, we both were trying to come up with the perfect thing to say. I think it came from a place of mutual respect, even though we might have (from my perspective) stifled a conflict that might have come sooner. It made me realize something about roleplaying via NwN: ultimately, even though we have scrolls full of lore and rules on conduct, all that matters is the present moment and the person with whom we're presently communicating. My time with Samira inspired me strive to achieve the most possible from every scene; not to defer to another time, because any amount of time we have with each other is precious. People's situations change and we're connected for only a short time.
Don't waste it.

Though they only got to interact once, I had a lot of fun with the one time my character got to meet, and interact with Inquisitor Damaris at the church of Selune. Was very interesting, and super fun, to have an interesting point of view of the philosophical sort, compared to her own.
