Trackless Steps leaves tracks

Post by msterswrdsmn »

Description
==========
The feat "trackless steps" is supposed to prevent your character from leaving tracks. It used to do this. When the "randomly appearing tracks" appeared, you would occasionally leave tracks at random.

Since that script was disabled, I always leave tracks behind when transitioning between areas.

Steps to reproduce
----------------------------

Transition between areas with the Trackless Step feat

Expected result
-----------------------
You don't leave tracks

Actual result
-------------------
You leave tracks

Misc Notes
----------------
It used to happen occassionally at random, but now its consistent and almost all the time

Which Server(s)?
------------------------
All

As far as I know, the Trackless Step feat doesn't entirely prevent tracks anymore, it just makes them harder to spot and investigate.

My character has single-digit ranks in spot. Really high search, but his spot score in nonexistant. I don't know if that is relevant or not.

Both Spot and Search can be used to find tracks, so that's probably why :)

Roam tracks and hidden tracks were disabled a few days back to help determine another issue.
So far the results indicate tracks were not the culprit and will be returned to the fully functional state soon.
