"Dismount" command.

Post by dominantdrowess »

I think that given the bugginess of the horse system; some kind of cleanse, or fix command would be useful. Like a -dismount command, or some other command to reset a user's appearance to their default and reset all mounted effects. I've seen this bug where people get stuck on their horses a few times now.

But I think a command to just -fix- a person's character back to the default model for their race and dispel non-magic effects on them might be useful either as a rest command, or something.

I have no idea what causes the bug, which is why I have not filed a bug report.

When a character finds themselves in an area too small for riding, they are forced to dismount, but more importantly all of the mount actions accessed through the radial menu become disabled.

- the rider then cannot intentionally dismount if the forced dismount fails for some reason
- there's no way of removing a character's name from the mount as the "assign mount" command gets disabled
- when the mount gets then removed from the party, either intentionally or otherwise (logout/crash) the only remaining way of handling it becomes animal emapthy

This can sometimes lead to piles of discarded mounts in places where they clearly don't belong. I'd personally prefer to see riding allowed everywhere for immersion's sake at that point TBH.

Agreed on ride anywhere, with the penalties applying when UD are not in large indoors and Surfacers are not outdoors then drastically increasing penalties in areas not meant to be rideable would allow riders to stay mounted at the inconvenience of negatives.

This should make it a mirror choice and also resolve mounted issues.
