Oh and i believe all chars should get 1-2 free language choises with the expansion of amounts of languages
(That and it'd help slaves with undercommon, drow would know elven too etc etc)

But especially rak should even get more of them being an elf that only learned gnome or something!

Access to a limited language buff such as the Tongues spell could be cool. Right now you need to build for it, often Loremaster has to be the choice.

Another massive issue here is that the player list currently gives away your true name, despite being disguised. This is probably a bug? But everyone’s true names are being displayed so it’s probably not great for people disguising.

Would like to see characters (all characters) get more language slots. There's so many now. Some of them aren't even learnable (which is cool) and so I think we don't have to worry about everyone knowing 'every' language, because they can't. AFAIK.

Warlock has the Sage Tongues dark invocation. Just make that available to Rakshasa too as an epic feat. Or heck just give it to them for free.

This might get me set on fire by some, but I actually disagree about giving Rakshasas language buffs or boons specific to learning them faster or more or anything like that.

You should build for it in that case, and the build will reflect your background. You might be a younger incarnation who is moreso focused on your dextrous or infernal inclinations, therefore you don't and can't know that many languages unless you either live among that particular society for years and years and years (manual learning), or study them rigorously and focus on the aptitude of such. (Loremaster, etc)

Otherwise, maybe you'll just need to be a mute and bluff and shrug act like you have no idea whats going on, which can actually be fun.


If you decide to give them more languages then you'd need to probably take something away from them, and they need love in other areas for sure, but not this one. (Unless there's ever some kind of revamping or overhaul or overall server-wide change to language learning)
