A horse is a Horse of course of course

Post by Gazfrost »

I am one of those people that refuses to use his own legs during travelling the open road and I thought a horse will do of course, they travel so much faster than walking and help carry your gear, plus you have to feed them and lure them to water right?..

Wrong!!! :o none of that is true..

Without putting 30 points in riding its really lame, the average 15 points in riding gives you only 5% more speed, horses run 5% faster than us right even for the average rider? I would like to see at least 2% extra speed per 3 points in riding.... (but it still looks nice on horse back I must admit).
I used 2 feats to make sure I can shoot well off horse back with my bow like a Mongolian horse archer ... Seems there no improvement there also. -2 to AB for using 2 feats to shoot better from horseback as you cant get horse archery feat without getting mounted combat feat..
I don't think there should be any penalty to shooting, there should be an advantage to being so awesome on horseback with the bow and the speed and height advantage (I would like to see +4 to ab at least). come on that's terrible 2 feats to get from -4 to -2 ab with the bow.

ps. It would be nice if the horse could carry some of the players weight while its in the party.

There is a horse rework on the cards, but it may be quite far off are requires extensive attention from a developer that is currently on a break due to health reasons.

Approved (For the general area of horse improvements)

Complete as far as I understand the underhood workings.
