A big part of the fun of playing druids in d&d settings for me isn't so much the mechanical power (which they have a lot of, both pnp and on arelith), but the amazing utility and versatility. They can do pretty much anything very well, and what they can't do they can take on the shape or form of something that can. I feel this is missing in Arelith.
Would it be possible to expand the druids wildshape options to include their pre-dire animal forms, and other various animals from around the isle? Birds included, which would grant *Winged Character* while in the shape for purposes of climbing. Maybe an orca shape with water breathing and movementspeed underwater? Stuff like that!
I envision these being entirely for utility and RP, so their stats should be low or even weak/vulnerable so that there is some risk in taking these forms in dangerous situations. The last thing druids need are combat buffs, after all, but it would go a long way to making the class a lot more fun to play to have these kinds of toys.
Just a note, you can already do all these things as a druid. Monolith air gives you enough dex to climb despite it not having a climb bonus, and you can cast water breathing for days from your spellbook, so I don't think these would 'buff' the druid. Just wanted to be clear.
Also. Mini-Suggestion being tacked onto this suggestion because kind of related:
I think for the purposes of a druids shape changing, when taking a natural (animal) shape, maybe it SHOULDN'T say 'This is a polymorphed creature.' vs Spot and instead should be vs Spot + Spellcraft or something vs the druid's level+wis I dunno. You get the idea. (unless it already is, oops) I feel like if anyone is going to make a convincing bird hanging out in a flock of other birds, it should probably be a druid.
Not sure if people are able to tell or if they're just metagaming, but even when my druid is totally out in the wild just chilling alone in a natural area, the first reaction everyone has is 'oh hey a druid'. I just assumed it's because of the polymorph creature tag in the bio, because that's about the time when it started happening.
