Added gigantic colossal spears for really extremely ultra mega superhumanly tall big people [/code]
Are there details available for these? Is there a particular crafted spear that fits in here? Do these come under their own weapon category, twohanded, polearm, or both?
This feedback thread is also about the current colossal weapons available.
The problem is that you can't really make use of these without being specifically the right alignment or race. I recognise that this is supposed to be making it easier for halfgiants/firbolgs, but it actually makes things ONLY easily available for half-giants. Firbolgs get firbolged in this case. Neutral firbolgs have nothing, because they're not counted as a half-giant racial, and they don't get the alignment weapons without a UMD dump somewhere.
Could this be changed? Maybe where you see racial restrictions, firbolg could be added with half-giant. Maybe where you see alignment restrictions, neutral could be added with the other side of the extreme.

As someone who is heavily involved in the half giant/firbolg RP, Ill only say there is a push for more +4 colossal weapons since large races only get them for the 2h weapons that get +1 AB, and its likely more will be added since they only have them vs medium races which haev nodachi, naginata, halberd, heavy flail, maul, greatsword, falchion, greataxe, etc etc etc
There are 5 half giant types vs only firbolg, but I am certain to say any future +4 colossal weapons won't be half giant only, if racially locked at all.
I put in a suggestion for a Minotaur Racial Axe to be added. due to their creator weilding a bardiche, and the only colossal axe in the entire game that isn't just a plain boring Masterly Damask one, is a Good Only Axe, which no Minotaur will ever be allowed to wield due to the fact you spent a reward to get the Minotaur Subrace to begin with and you cannot Reward stack.
Minotaurs weilding massive axes is kinda their Big thematic thing, but the Axe that got added is a Celestial Good Only axe?
I really dislike that weapons have racial and alignment restrictions. We have removed so many alignments metagaming things, why are we broadcasting alignments and races on wielded weapons.
Have them be restricted for forging, makes sense only elves know how to create lesser moonblades, or orogs their greatsword but don't have them be restricted on wielding.

Even new weapons as Avernus rebuttal had alignment requirements, mostly because they can be overcome by 30 umd. It's a small annoyance but a reason to encourage some. More colossal weapons for ogre and Mino would be good though

Hex blade has the evil VFX, so does blackguard, but so does bladethirst. You can't infer evil from that VFX alone. But some weapons have some unique VFX and you can pinpoint alignments based on them, this isn't great.
But my main complaint is just many regular weapons that are locked to races or alignments for no good reason. Why can only half giants wield the colossal greatsword? I get that they would know how to make it, given their history, but what stops a minotaur from wielding it? Why is unfettered chaotic only?

Lots of builds also have UMD. You would look pretty foolish calling someone evil just because of a weapon glow. It also doesn't make sense in the grand view of the setting and you're basing it on metagame knowledge of what weapons are available in Arelith and the VFX they have. That's pretty questionable.

I mean, you're not wrong but it's funny you listed two evil classes who make their weapon look evil by design. My point tho, is that a weapon can look absolutely evil, and it puts the character wielding it into question perhaps, but it doesnt mean we're meta-gaming their alignment and even if we did, we could be wrong because UMD exists. You cant really meta-game alignment through weapon alone.
