Disguise/Alias Addition for Factions

I've been doing more disguise stuff lately on some of my characters and, aside from the quotation marks which are their own discussion, I've found mechanical factions to be one of the biggest meta hurdles that subterfuge oriented characters face. The reasoning is fairly straightforward, to join a mechanical faction (which many prominent organizations use to manage their internal affairs) you have to give your actual character name which of course immediately outs you. To this end, I propose some sort of mechanic in the form of respecting the alias at the time of signing, a pen name that the disguiser designates, or even just an "X", but virtually anything would be better than having to reveal your character name to join mechanical factions when they're so ubiquitous across the server.
