Festival of Vengeance Kudos!

Post by DestroyerOTN »

Known as the Festival of Vengeance, this day marks the defeat of Gilgeam by Tiamat, Nemesis of the Gods. In Unthalass the day is marked by general anarchy, rioting, and widespread mayhem incited by the clergy and the faithful and is punctuated by the consummation of long-simmering acts of revenge. During this time, the clerics of the Mulhorandi and Faerunian pantheons seek to contain the looting and destruction, but prominent officials must beware of the numerous assassination attempts executed by Tiamat’s worshipers.
After the events of today, let it never be said that Myon is entirely a safe haven. ;)

The month or two of planning that went in to getting this on its feet; the week of scheduling; the day of rallying, fixture gathering, and the like paid off - if not in the way I expected. I hope ever sincerely it was fun on both ends!

So, without further adieu; honors and props to:

>Illharess del Qu'ellar Rilyn'aun - As a new replacement to the house, and having gone from slave RP to Matron -REALLY- fast, I'll call it a bold move and show of lenience that you were so fast to agree to partake. -Huge- thanks for letting me drag you guys into this.

>The Tiamatan Gang - I don't thank my peons/co-superiors enough. What we've built up makes me smile, and I hope that it does for the rest of you. Thanks for sticking it out, too; when it was clear that stuff wasn't going down how we IC 'expected' it.

>Team Good & The Myon Gang - I'll admit. I expected nothing from the get go. I didn't expect Storm's crazy, mad scientist plan to breach the Mythal would get anywhere. It didn't. Instead, I got the elves to come to me; them all having -well- enough reason to suspect that something was up, but bothering to come anyway instead of being wholly IC, wisdom "We shouldn't go". The fact that you all didn't lock down? It hypes me so much, and deepest apologies for any corpses that were harmed. Hellballs aren't good for the skin, I hear. Thanks for being the heroes today :P

>The Black Chain - Roy, Nix; my bros! Hats off to both of you for a good show of survivalism and patience. Gotta love the characters, whom are always open to fill the air with both boundless pragmaticism, and endless insanity.

Specific person kudos to:

>Law - Please. Do whatever you can do. I don't care what strings you must pull. Become a professional wrestler that inherits your IG thunder. I need a few million reserve, and the betting window is fresh.

>Sabal - Closing in on the nemesis position, somehow -always- being involved in the stuff I foil, and -always- there to fill the air with excitement after anyway; you deserve a medal. Truly, a pillar of the good community. Don't betray her because smelly drow yet pls.

>Mithrim - It all started with a word. Thanks for bringing the hostile air, for handling it in a non-overboard, very natural feeling manner, and for guiding this rag-tag band of elves on to the bitter end (in some cases, for both of us). Your character's ability to capture that elven calm makes me -almost- wish I didn't have to hate them IC. Almost. But it's just too fun to see when he'll crack.

I had a great time. There are plenty of great rivalries to spawn from this; nemesis indeed! Battles like these gets my Arelith pride going. Even with the multitude of accidentally (and some intentionally!) charred corpses, there was no sense of ooc grudge. Thank you evil conspirators for putting this together and to Stormwind for being an exceptional villain.

Looking forward to more!

Definately an interesting start to my two weeks off work, haha. Although things did turn out quite chaotic - all good fun in the end, and hopefully devoid of hard feelings on either side.

Surprised that Roy's fake surrender, to then take up blade and start slaughtering people from behind actually almost worked as well as it did amidst the hellballs and whatnot constantly bringing him down to the wee HPs. But hey, gotta' try every tactic atleast once when one of the two last standing of your party!

Regardless, a big thank you to everyone involved, friend or foe. Turned out to be a whole lot more exciting of an evening than I could've ever imagined logging on.

Big ups to Arytiss too, last man standing atop the mountain of corpses alongside Roy in the end, that was some intense crap. Arytiss has to be the most fearless person I've ever seen to just charge straight into that. A salute to you, councilor.

The moment Mithrim shouted something, I lost it. It was a good experience for me guys, thanks a lot, will always remember this, kudos to you all.

Wish I could see more than Roy's health bar xD
