For some reason the texture update is just crushing my potato computer. I'm not sure if anything can be done about this, as I already keep my settings on the lowest. I'm not sure if many other's potatoes are struggling, but being in town on Skal is next to unplayable with fps lag right now.

Definitely sorry to hear that. I've had no such issue with it myself either here on Arelith or when testing Tyrants.

Have you tried turning enhanced lighting on?

THIS for some reason WORKS.

With the risk of celebrating too early, I believe I have figured out a potential fix. At least it worked in a test area in the live server, so if it also works when pushed into the Distant Shores server, it'll be announced.

It absolutely does. My game has been running better overall ever since the change.
