I've tried to look through the forum and couldn't really find any definitive answer for this:
Say, you have a character Bob and you really want:
them to learn Abyssal, but they don't have the int - can you then remake (not rolling) and apply a minor award (you earned from another rolling) to get this?
them to reflect that their parent was sir'ed (noble) - can you then remake as a noble using a normal award?
another stat-spread, but don't want to go through level 3-16 (Guldorand start) using a normal award?
In other words - what are the possibilities/restrictions on using awards on remakes (same name, same story, same person)?
You cannot remake a character to take a reward they did not already have on creation. This is to encourage turnover of characters.
I exist to describe the world around us.
Akorae - Traveling to find happiness. Yrsa Hakondottir - returned to Ruathym Xifali'ae - sleeping with the fishies Keth'ym Evanara - wandering better paths Veriel Xyrdan - married and happy Reena Welkins - dead
Just confirming what's said above. Exceptions perhaps if it's in the very, very, very early stages (as in, pc has never left the Character Setup Room) but once they're out and about in the world, a character's awards are set.
If you remake them, they must have the same (or same lack of) awards in their last incarnation.
This too shall pass.
(I now have a DM Discord (I hope) It's DM GrumpyCat#7185 but please keep in mind I'm very busy IRL so I can't promise how quick I'll get back to you.)
