Youll die if the bleeding is the final tick of your HP bar. Subdual does not matter.

Accidents happen. Bug or intended? Lol. Maybe its a bug that you can subdue with other bleed damage, like power word bleed?

Just to add onto this also, if a bleed kills a mob you dont get XP for that. If you're on a writ and the bleed kills the boss? You have to redo the dungeon again, because the kill wont count for writ credit.
