In addition to my feedback about Ghostwise Halfers : viewtopic.php?f=91&t=46381
Here are a few possibilities on how to fix the Ghostwise issue :
- Ability to tend plants
- Similar to Air Genasi, grant soft climb proportionnal to Max Level at a ratio. 1 point per 2 lv?
- Race crafting recipe. Could be anything from weapons to armor or fixture,but it could also be a consummable that is either cooking or alchemy. The possibilities are endless and the choice is yours!
- Access to various otherwise "Wild race limited" stuff. So far, only Armor of the wild comes to mind but there might be others.
- and most importantly : At the cost of +1 ECL, a choice similar to the bloodlines : Traditions. I count on you lots to find better names.
Tradition of the Warlord : +1STR, -1 INT or maybe +2STR(could also be +1STR +1CON) -1INT -1DEX. Anything to represent the harsher life lived by Ghostwise which has gotten them more resilient
Tradition of the Oracle : +2 WIS -2 DEX
Tradition of the Clan Chief : +2 CHA -2DEX
These are my thought, and you are more than welcome to take inspiration from it or come up with anything better.
Note that this is not an "All or nothing" suggestion. None, one, or more than one of the proposed solution can make it.
Finally, does everything here make sense for the Vanilla FR lore? No, maybe not but Arelith has clearly stated they've diverged from official lore, so why not make it a case for the Ghostwise race. And while we're at it, retcon out of existencet that silly idea that telepathy could even be a thing!
