Swashbucklers today receive skill focus and epic skill focus: Sail as class feats, which suits nicely the sailor/pirate archetype. However, as swashbuckler abilities (as a narrative at least) also put much emphasis on fencing with parries, feints and ripostes, I think it would be a neat option for the less sailing oriented swashbucklers to be able to pick SF and ESF: Parry instead of sail.
My suggestion is thus that Swashbucklers at level 12 can pick skill focus in either sail or parry, and epic skill focus in sail or parry at 25.
