My question is why is it I cannot reply in feedback?
I did not receive any message saying I couldn't just the functionality is gone.

I was planning on adding like Druids and Shamans, Favored Souls cannot touch alters either without taking a gift.
You cannot reply to suggestions in the suggestion forum. You can reply to posts in the feedback forum. The linked post is in suggestions, not feedback.
You can make a post in the feedback forum, linking to the suggestion, for extra commentary.
However, I can add that,consecration of altars is a thing priests do. All clerics are priests. Druids, shamans, favored souls, are not necessarily trained as a priest.
The minor gift, gift of devotion, exists to reflect that priest training.
Favored souls also have freedom of alignment to show that not every favored soul tries to serve the god that has favored them.
I exist to describe the world around us.

That is what mine tend to take (the minor gift of Devotion).
I just figured as someone else was asking for it. I'd ask for the other divine class to be considered as well.
