Tribal Barbarian - Bug Megathread

Post by SomethingNeedDoing »

I realize this pet build of mine (24 Tribal/ 3 Evangelist [protection/healing]/3 Bard) is a low priority, but there might be some low hanging fruit that could enable this build to become a bit more viable. Any and all of the following bugs that could be addressed would be greatly appreciated.

Tribal Barbarian Does Not Benefit From Leadership
When you're by yourself you seemingly get none of the leadership benefits, at 57 leadership I would anticipate the 10 Int tribal barbarians (enough to qualify for leadership) to get +2 AB from leadership, and a bonus APR, unfortunately I only ever see two attacks per flurry, and I only see 36 AB.

Tribal Barbarian Seemingly Has Legacy Improved Two Weapon Fighting
The AB math doesn't make sense otherwise;

It should be 37, because...

Code: Select all

24 Tribal
--------------------
+ 22 Base Attack Bonus
+ 9 (Strength modifier)
+ 4 weapon (observable from +4 damage)
+ 3 feats (epic weapon focus/weapon focus)
38
-1 Improved Two Weapon Fighting
37

But it actually ends at 36, which makes me suspect it's the legacy Improved Two Weapon Fighting.

Anti Magic Rod Dispels Tribal Barbarians
I'm not sure how much of this is in the developers control, but the Tribal Barbarians going to nap in the fugue when they're in an Anti Magic Rod zone is... probably not lore friendly.

Addressing Balance Concerns
I double guard my tribals, thanks to the protection domain, and I only really buff their AB with bulls strength, and bard song (There's really nothing else to buff them with). Currently assuming I buff them with Bard Song and Bull's Strength AND they're flanking, they only hit 42, which is seemingly 3 lower than it should be and also missing an APR. Even with these changes, this build is the scariest the Tribals would ever get , and even at 45 AB, they would not be scary.

I'd be more than happy to look at the source myself given access to work on these issues, to see if I couldn't be a help. I realize this is a low priority to most players, but it might be easy to remediate some of these issues on an already underpowered class.
