Dear Magister Runewright,
I am writing to keep you apprised of the events that have taken place since our arrival to the isle of Arelith nearly six months ago. Our team has been very busy exploring the surface level of the isle. We have befriended another Waterdhavian, Cieelc. She has a talented hand with swords.
Our team has come across multiple fragments of scrolls that seem to date sometime between The Age of Discovery and The Shadow Age. Danyael and Cieelc had found one of these fragments while out exploring together. Kira and I have discovered these fragments use both Draconic and Loross language within them. It truly speaks to the embodiment of the High Netheril scholars. We continue to look for more artifacts to help with the decoding of these scrolls.
While our team has been on the isle, our Weave Tender Reyken, has been working on anomalies within the weave. We have encountered such anomalies in both Wharf Town and a copper mine just Southeast of Guldorand. Reyken has stated that he will need more time studying these anomalies to understand the cause.
We are continuing our search for more artifacts and antiquities.
