Fair Winds

Post by Peacewhisper »

The time has come for me to say goodbye to Arelith for a while and focus on other things. Sig has sailed to Evermeet to reunite with her father and old friends there, bringing Ylvera with her. I played her for a little over a year, and out of all the characters I've made she will probably always be the coolest. I was fortunate enough to be able to interact with many other cool characters through her, some of which I'll shout out below:

Phyrra & Eledain Grevyre (RIP) - They took in Sig when she was still new to the isle and gave her purpose. Without them, Sig might not have gotten far in life, so I cannot thank them enough. They were like family.

Renestrae Grevyre - A fellow bladesinger and retainer who became like a sister to Sig and was later adopted by Phyrra. I'd like to imagine Sig will see them both again in Evermeet.

Elinde (RIP) - She was such a strong and stoic leader, Sig's weapon was made according to her specifications and it has served her well.

Victor & Celitha Galencourt - Sig held great respect for these two and was honored to fight alongside them.

Haanibahl (RIP) & Violetta - Much the same as above, another power couple in Myon that became good friends with Sig over time.

Arven Reinhart & Nu'ae Raerdrimme - It was thanks to these two that Sig had the opportunity to reform the Lodge, which lead to many other great things in Myon down the road. Their inclusivity and leadership helped bring Myon out of a period of stagnation so they deserve a lot of credit for their efforts.

The Bladesingers Lodge - I consider myself lucky that Sig just happened to be in the right place at the right time to recruit so many great bladesingers. Honestly I did not even have to do much, just passed them the torch and watched them run with it. Mithras and Narion have both been great Coronals. Elenaril Hawksong is a wonderful successor to the title of Honored Bladesinger. And there were so many others who were always a joy to interact with, Nadrian, Bryan Rook, Liralynn, Lysanthir Durothil, Vitalus, Saelarion, the list could go on.

Elora (RIP) - A wonderful priestess and one that will be missed. Her loss weighed heavily on the hearts of many.

My fellow avariels - Aere, Atraxa, Lethri, Aerathor, Arvela, and Niffaniel (she's adopted but we still love her), all of these are awesome characters.

Narwiel & Buppi - Sig did not actually get to know these two very well, but I interacted with them a lot on previous characters and it was always a joy OOC to see these old characters who I adore so much still around.

Wavey & Evemere - Sig did not get to interact with these two nearly enough, mostly they knew of each other through mutual friends, it was always nice when they did see each other though.

Vaerylados & Wren - These two definitely earned Sig's respect with their hard work and dedication.

Ash - Who would have thought a paladin of Bahamut and an avariel dragonslayer could be such good friends?

House Starym - Been a while since I seen any of them but a few of them were good friends with Sig before they left the isle. Hope they are all doing well.

All the villains and antagonists - Sometimes it takes someone acting like a snuggybear IC to move the plot along, so to all of you, thanks for keeping things interesting.

Ylvera - Thanks for all the love and support she gave to Sig, without the stability she offered Sig might have been consumed by her anger and her need for vengeance. Together we unlocked the best ending though.

There are many other great characters I've encountered and probably a few I meant to list here but forgot, if I keep typing though this post will be a mile long, so I'll just say thanks to everyone including staff and fellow players who made Sig's journey on Arelith possible, and I wish you all the best. <3
