I figured now would be an appropriate time to drop a little kudos as I shelf Celestine. She's not gone forever; I definitely intend to play the character again, but until that time comes - I'll be taking a break from her and likely Arelith until I fully recover from ongoing health issues.
When I started playing Celestine, I had recently rolled my previous character, Vasyrin, due to said health issues. I thought I had it in me to continue RPing and creating stories while nursing myself back into health but that clearly grew more difficult as time went on, perhaps explaining why Celestine's presence in and around Cordor has been patchy at best, and recently minimal altogether. Nevertheless, my time spent on Celestine has been nothing short of a blast. I commonly prefer to RP in the Underdark rather than the Surface, and this change of pace was a breath of fresh air largely thanks to the following individuals to whom this kudos is dedicated:
First, I'd like to thank DMs Honey and Herald for accompanying Celestine and I on our journey across Arelith and for bolstering her storyline with amazing DM Events. Thank you for being quick to respond and ever so patient with my concept ideas!
Second, I'd like to thank Cordor's government(s) for being nothing short of welcoming and great to RP with. A huge thank you to Adimien Crane, Cinders and Galliard Dundarrow for sponsoring and funding Celestine's endeavours with both RP and coin. A special thank you to Galliard for the RP moments we've shared. What began as a humble request quickly grew into an expansive storyline that brought Galliard and Celestine together for some great RP. While Salasker isn't part of the government, I'll likewise mention him here as he's an important - and living - part of Cordor's history and an amazing character to RP with. I thoroughly enjoyed the RP we had.
Third, I'd like to thank the Bannerless, namely Emilio, Thyra and Wozz' for the many many trips into the Deep Wells and likewise the amazing RP we've had together. I was truly sad to see you three go; your presence enriched Guldorand to such an extent Celestine nearly became a regular of the Fortress City. While I'm not certain if Narion was at any given point part of the Bannerless, he's been around them long enough for me to make that connection, and he's well deserving of a mention in this kudos!
Fourth, I'd like to thank House De Leon - Gabriel, Claude and Rosette - for likewise being great RP partners and for their interest in Celestine's efforts. Gabriel in particular was a steadfast companion to Celestine throughout her Odyssey into Kohlingen and I couldn't be happier about it.
Fifth, a big kudos to House Castemont, namely Thomas, Charissa and Alaina. Thank you for your inclusivity, for welcoming Celestine with open arms into the Ministry of Justice and mentoring/helping her throughout her stay within. I'm deeply sorry that I couldn't consecrate my time to the Ministry's benefit, but I do hope to one day pay back the RP, the fun and the trust you had in me!
Sixth, a big kudos to the Order of Ascension, and Alis in particular, for sponsoring Celestine's efforts and participating in her events whenever possible. I look forward to more interactions with you lot!
Last but not certainly not least - thank you, thank you, thank you to House Montgomery for welcoming me into your fold. I've known Alastair's player for some time and have gotten to enjoy multiple of their characters. Theirs are deep, intricate and always fun to interact with, and Alastair is no exception. And Rey - at first, a retainer, and then an unlikely best friend. Amazing RP - I remember a lot of the funny interactions between Rey and Celestine, and likewise the more serious ones. You're a blast to RP with, keep it up!
