Loremaster has always been a class that has the potential to be OP or to provide certain OP bonuses
My solution to this is Paths meaning when you take loremaster you have to take a path in the class
for instance:
the artisan path which would allow commoners to take the class would grant no languages no scroll or wand knowldges and provide the feats gathering exploration dweomer crafting and artisan with no CL level bonuses while skills can remain the same
the caster path provides languages scroll and wand knowledge CL for each level and limits the feats to the high end abilities from spell focus scry mechanics and so on skill set unchanged
the linguistics path languages scrolls knowledge with benefits to scroll creation with some other related feats perhaps a choice between scry and project image as forms of communication with the capstone feat being tutor and a half CL increase as it is currently
Pt guru path (physical fitness path) feats would include health ab saves knowledges and so on these are suggestions to take away some of the extra bite of the loremaster class and in so doing would give you a path based on your primary class instead of a you get to choose magical abilities even though you do not show any magical talent and so on.
I hope this is taken into consideration as a viable fix for the class. And an expansion to it for commoners who could become on par with forge knowledge cleric domain crafters Almost.
