He is officially shelved as I take a health break. He might be back eventually, but for now, it is a suitable ending for an orphan going to raise orphans.
My notes have been terrible on him so I am just doing the highlights for this one.
Aberthine:
I was so ready to play him as retired when I rolled off the boat until he ran into the love of his life. Everything changed after the promises made at the Nomad. The world changed from it. He altered histories, started wars and always made sure he was true to his word. It is a great pity they never got to finish what they started. It was so Shakespearean. I loved it.
Adimien:
These two were a great pair. Starting with Osric acting like a genie here to help make all of Adi’s dreams come true and ending with two brothers. Osric’s biggest regret is not being able to help Adimien in those final moments. He missed him terribly.
Atticus:
They were the cutest together. I loved the balance between Atticus’ neuroticism and Osric’s stone face. They still adored each other even after being so heartbroken. It was so much fun and you are one of my favourite people to play with.
HoV:
Osric always wanted to have a family to work with, and he truly missed them all when it came undone. He couldn’t find kin like that again with all the Good factions being so cold. It was rough having to go to so many funerals in the end, but it was great fun while he had it.
Church of Ilmater:
Galia, Luca, Lora, Brinja, Kethra, Elisa, and everyone in between. It has been a great time playing at the Church with Osric bullying people into doing sermons or working on projects. It was a lot of fun.
Minna:
Dear god. The light of his life and the bane of his existence. I adore Minna. No one else can make more of a hot mess than her. It has been a rollercoaster, and I loved it. You are the best. <3 !
Younglings:
Mentorship rp is my favourite, and I loved all the moments of Osric teaching discipline, faith, and the craft. He adored his younglings, and it is so good to see all of them go on to bigger work as a result.
The Chancellors: I usually do not play characters for this long, and for 90% of it, Osric worked for the city. It has been amazing fun seeing how each new Chancellor handles working with the grumpy Damaran.
Saorlaith:
Osric wasn’t ever quick to make friends but Saorlaith was one of the very (very) few. She was always kind to him and he was always eager to see her. I wish I had had more time to play so he could have been at the Grove instead.
Acaria:
By far my favourite Necromancer. The Good Doctor was the best, always. Nothing escaped her superior lore check, and she was able to reveal secrets in a single sitting. I think he would have died long ago if not for her constant rescue.
The Super Dorks:
From the Bugs to the Birds and everyone in between, I loved playing with you. It was a lot of fun having so many different personalities trying to get along.
The DMs:
Thank you so much for all the effort and fun. I have never had to engage with more NPCs in my life than when working in Cordor this time around. You’ve certainly cured me from playing caring Good in the future.
Thank you,
-S
