Hi!
Recently I've started playing a rogue and have noticed that after being cursed by an enemy, this curse has reapplied to my character every time I both log-in and server transfer.
It seems that my character has curse immunity on log-in and the curse doesn't stick.
I have tried to pray and remove curse the curse as it sometimes reapplies on server transition (inconsistent), but it tends to comes back on another server.
Update: Transitioning between any servers causes this to happen. However, I'm unable to recreate the instance where the full curse applies. Trying a lot rn.
I have that going on with one of my characters too, she got the curse last year some time and it's still happening, back then I was told "FOIG" to get rid of it but nothing I tried ever worked so if it's actually a bug (which I suspect but DM said it was all IG) I'd love to hear it

If it's actually supposed to be a mechanic, I'm game, but the way it works seems like a bug.
That said, it does retain through server resets. So I'm just gonna roleplay with it.

cannot purge it off. but it doesnt seem to have any effects either
If you take care of it through ICly means, you can get it removed, and not have it come back. I've experienced this bug many times, as I pay around with curses ICly often. I've also written bug reports and have done a fair bit of testing.
I'm short, the curses I've tested persist their effects through server transition but your cannot interact with it. A simple detect curse will say you aren't cursed and the effects end. Just take care of it on any server you've been on after a reset. One gone on all servers, it's gone.

I tried literally everything, clerics casting every spell that could help, -pray, character death, any scroll that seemed possible.. This was IRL over a year ago so maybe something’s changed since then, but I was frustrated because it seemed like a possible bug and fixing it through FOIG became a wild goose chase nobody could help me with. I just lived with it since I don’t play the character much and the curse doesn’t seem to actually effect the character but if it’s intended to work this way I think there needs to be a clearer way to remove it or.. something. This isn’t the first time FOIG stuff has been possibly bugged and nobody can even discuss it to figure out if that’s the case or not.
I should add, I got this from a pretty low level pve monster. Honestly if a player could perma-curse another as a rare thing, that’s pretty cool and great for story, but really not sure random level 10 dungeon creatures should have the same ability

Yes, I'm aware of the wiki page. I did everything multiple times, bothered every cleric I could get to help. I believe there's a bug where permanent curses aren't being removed properly. If you don't believe me that's fine but don't want to argue, just adding my 2 cents because someone else seemed to have the issue and maybe a few voices will get it looked at. That's all, I'll bow out here.

Character has died. As indicated on that same wiki page, curse should be gone. It isn't. Please re-read the same wiki page you linked.
Also apologies for making this thread in the wrong sub-forum. Could someone move it to the correct bugs forum? I was unfamiliar with the structure of the forums.
