Hello everyone,
This is a bit of a farewell for Faeris though I intend to wrap up some IC plots and have a more formal IC parting. My intention is to shelf her, for now. After so long, I got to re-charge my evil villain batteries and want to try some new stuff in areas of the server that are foreign to me.
Part of this is like I just gotta Send it like pulling off a band aid if I don't just /do it/ I never will!
I’ve played Faeris like well over 2 years now. For almost an entire IRL year in a continuous period, she led the Devil’s Table and then won the elections a few times after that for smaller cycles. She’s been such a neat character developed by the amazing characters she has had the chance to be around. All I started her with was like some basic sort of origin back lines and the rest just happened organically.
It is startling to realize how much time so quickly passed with a single character.
Faeris’ story was like made by some key characters I just wanted to draw attention to: A ulath’tallar that had Faeris connect to the Elder Brain, then in the mental spiral that came from that she ended up on the surface deep in thought about what it meant to be Ilythirii and a Lolthite.
I don’t know who the players were, but on the Weather Stone she was surrounded by a group of elves. They sat with her and tried to convert her. I was ready to go full like redeemed drow arc when the sun came up and the mechanical blindness happened. It was /such/ a perfect moment for a villain arc. She told the elves “If you let me leave, I’ll return and bring death.” And they replied “You will have a place amongst us when you return.” In the hope of a final olive branch.
When Faeris returned to Andunor she became “The Imperatrix” and years later her terrible legacy had written itself. That Weather Stone scene was the foundation of almost every action she has taken.
I’ve had some art made of Faeris, and when I had more time was enjoying making some stuff myself but I don’t have a lot of time these days sooo, I settled on just a montage video of screenshots I have plus reposting some old stuff.
Many names are listed in one of the videos, but a few other thank yous mostly of the more recent era of Andunor.
The Xun’viir - Faeris was initially determined to destroy the house and became is Matron. Always full of such engaging players.
Zyndaris, Elkoyn, Pandora, The Hood, Balok, Vizzyr, Sharyn. The vibe of our little Xun’viir house was so cozy. I enjoyed this lowkey era of the house a lot. Thank you for playing with me! It has been so neat watching all of the ways the stories have expanded, Zyndaris and Elkoyn notably too!
Briz’zek - Your house has been a flurry of activity and fresh faces and ideas. Thanks for being so impactful.
The “Crone” - Watching your group and politics maneuver has been delightful. I am such a sucker for just politics and intrigue and it was always a pleasure to engage with other houses that were willing to do the same.
The Auvryndar - The resurgence of the old house kicked off weeks of rapid RP, and it has evolved so much since then with new and interesting characters finding their place around Andunor.
Duvall and the Virak - A unique and different house that operates I think quite bravely on its own accord distant from the sort of hub of Drow in the Table. Duvall was a lovely character to meet and a fun character to weave politics and other stories with.
There are so many more wonderful characters and I am so glad to have interacted with you all and to have been apart of Andunor for so long.
I love watching this video of the screenshots and just remembering all these scenes: Thank you again! https://youtu.be/B-SHO8wxObc

A last and final thank you, for everyone who has played with me and who I have had the chance to write stories with. The passion, emotions, and just vibe of so many wonderfully devout players is the reason I've stuck around for so long. And it is not a -lack- of those things that has me wrapping up Faeris, only an acknowledgement that everything must, at some point, come to an end.
Until the death of Arvandor, Lolth Tlu Malla.
