Ranger/Druid Post Anim. Emp. Animal Release

We will file suggestions here that did not make the cut. Don't expect detailed responses, but the most common reasons are:

  • implementing the suggestion is impractical, or too much work for the gain
  • the suggestion is thematically against our design philosophy
  • the suggestion is too detailed/low-level
Keep your suggestions broad and focused on RP benefits, please, not detailed suggestions of how to fix everything.

Ranger/Druid Post Anim. Emp. Animal Release

Post by The Kriv »

Is there a way to make some sort of time-out for the hostile to take effect when a druid/ranger releases an animal who's been befriended through an Animal Empathy successful check?

For example: the RP of temporarily clearing an area of dangerous bears, are led away, one by one so a group might pass without having to slaughter them.

Often if you set an animal to "stay" and then walk away, much of the time, it STILL attacks you, even if you get far enough away that they disappear from your view due to distance from target.

Maybe some sort of reset can be added that will wear off temporarily... or maybe set the animal to a neutral non-aggressive faction that persists until the PC departs the current area..?
