The Expulsion from Eden
I had so much fun with this concept. I left pretty much everything up to the players and even though only two people figured out what I was playing, everyone went out of their way to make a considerable influence on the character.
Playing a character that is literally in some form of love with 70% of the characters on the server made for a very jam packed story. I’m really surprised that someone didn’t stab my Sunite-Sharessan-Lliiran-Mililite to death for being too loving and understanding. (Goodness knows they really should have.)
(I played him for my full six month limit so excuse the heft post. He got around.)
[The Apples]
Amadeo Pneuma AKA Inspector Space-Time: It was by sheer dumb persistence that Sawyer ever got to know Amadeo. I was so glad to see another side of this character that usually came off as a tireless, benevolent automaton. Although, Amadeo fought to maintain the boy’s innocence he did go a long way in drawing him out and teaching him about the world.
Celyse: Oh. My. God. I love this character so much. You expect a ditzy tree hugger and you get such a bountiful source of wisdom and a character with so much depth that Sawyer was always blown away in her presence. He would have been rolled two Ig years in if he didn’t have the Mother to guide him.
Filtel Nou’ate: Filtel took on the world with Sawyer and the two of them made such a wonderful team. Not only did they have a terribly beautiful and touching story but they battled through such momentous concepts of life together. If not for him, Sawyer would have never learned the truths of good and bad.
Bryce Kesslar: Bryce was such a bad man yet impossible to dislike. He was portrayed with such consistency and grit making him so much fun to be around; most of all with an innocent youth. I don’t think half the plots that needed to happen for the story would have happened without Bryce kicking Sawyer along.
[The Serpents]
Count Donley: I was so sad that they only had a short time together but every scene was flawless. Rarely do I ever see a villain made so dark yet gentleman like without over doing it or being cliché. The Count was literally the devil in his ear; it had me all giggly with excitement for each sinister plot that he cooked up.
Elizabeth Eliphelet: Another character that I lost too soon! Eli was the first to start luring him out of Paradise so much so that even when the ‘Good guys’ came to the rescue, the damage had been done. She managed to do so much in so little time that she became a reoccurring character in his life long after she had past.
Minerva Tengille: Damnit, I love this character. Whenever they are together every scene turns into the Sawyer and Minerva show. It often has me laughing for hours. They are awful people. She sort of snuck up on me as one of the serpents (likely because of her lack of obvious refinement) but this character is unbelievably cunning and even sinister at times. She took the progress made by the others and ran with it turning the two of them into unstoppable machines.
[Team Eden (Angels)]
Naleeah al Isahim: I was so delighted to see another …professional Sharessan character. I was sure Sawyer was bound to be alone in his field but he lucked out with Nal. I think things would have gone to Hell a lot faster if Nal wasn’t there to pull him out of the mud repeatedly with her love and understanding.
Marcus Demarin: Sawyer’s life was only ever filled with loves and lovers yet if he could say he had a friend it would have to be Marcus. Marcus was the shining star that always brought him home. I loved to watch their contrasting personalities work together.
Eztli: Even with all her troubles, she managed to generate so much hope. I was so fortunate to run into this character during her first time on surface and link the two of them together in rp. I think that if Eztli remained, he could have stayed in Paradise.
Pelagius Castillian: I enjoyed every single sermon and talk. Pelagius turned into this hopeful figure that believed that something could be done about the world while at the same time being the signifier that Sawyer was already out the door. He may never know the sort of devastation he caused on the boy’s conscience but it was priceless.
[Team Expulsion (Demons)]
Giogi Silveroak: I swear the two of them together turn into fey creatures with all their jokes, mischief and tomfoolery. I absolutely loved it. Although you wouldn’t expect to see Giogi on this side of the list, the character has been through so much horribleness and still came out in one piece that he turned into a hero. He showed that the world was bad, sure, but that you would have a friend like Giogi if you lived in it.
Vega: Without this ranger there could have been no way out. He has so much depth and emotional range that by the end of it the world didn’t seem so bad. It was, at least, a place where people loved. He knew exactly how to speak Sawyer’s language and it made for some of my favourite scenes.
Celerity: The evil witch! This purveyor of dark thrills really made a mess of everything. It was brilliant. She pushed the bird right out of the tree rather than tip toeing around him like everyone else. Her teaching him the ways of the Incubus was so much fun and really pushed the story much further than I was expecting it to.
Rosenkranz Ezekiel: I love this character to bits. I’m sad that they could only really start getting to know one another at the end but they wouldn’t have liked each other at the start so it works out. Rosenkranz gave the game away revealing that there are other people like you out there; you just had to find them. I don’t think the story would have been able to close appropriately without his help.
[Wharftown]
Alicia Lortal: If only there was more time, I would have loved to see these two get their botany on. This gloomy wizard kept poor Sawyer plotting the ways to get a smile out of her.
Merin Milltea: I love to hate Merin. They were forever at odds and even when it seemed like their relationship might swing another way, it swung right back.
Zethariel: Wharftown needs to cast Zeth in bronze and keep him forever. They are so fortunate to have this hard working yet playful waymen.
Brashen Talltree AKA the Merman: Ah! Another character I wish I had more time with. I love Brashen and his many pranks. He fits right in in Wharftown.
Stath: He regularly had me in a fit of giggles with his antics. Without him, I don’t think the next generation of Wharftowners would have adopted the sass, mischievous filled attitude they have.
Alaster: I miss him! He had such brilliant subtly in the portrayal of his character and I wish they had the time and chance to bond more together to learn one another’s secrets.
Elaine: I loved this foul beast. She took the plot with the secret and ran so far with it to a direction I was really never expecting. There was a time when I was sure I was going to have to roll when Elaine whipped into her deluded fury. It was so much fun.
Kalika: It is such a pity these two never had the time to finish what they started. I was endlessly delighted by the big reveal scene in the Lighthouse that it makes me sorry they never got to revisit it.
Jonathan Bleakheart: I love this character. I’m excited to see where he goes. I really enjoyed the few bardic scenes they managed to have together.
[Tower]
Azyrah, Casimir and Audrey: The Tower is an evil, teasing place where all the people you are most excited to rp with fall off the edge of the world. Although I only got a small taste of each of these characters, their influence was felt for IG years and really turned the tide of many plots. Thank you.
[Other]
Daijin: Their relationship was such a rollercoaster. I really think that if he never met Daijin he would have stayed in Paradise forever. I loved the irony of it with her ever failed effort with him. It was a beautiful display of low wisdom.
Azan: I love and miss this character. Azan was a beautiful storyteller. He managed to provoke a powerful friendship in such a short amount of time. I’m sure if they continued together, things would have been so different.
Ann: She went from frightful opposition to a motherly figure. If there was a ‘book two’ to his story, he would have gone to live in Sencliff just because of her.
Nyx: I loved watching these two play the wives. Sawyer was always running over to check on Nyx, gossip, talk politics or share in one another’s secrets.

Extra Kudos to Wharftown: Thanks to the builders and the players, Wharftown always felt like its own little world. Even though most settlements were only a ferry ride away it often took Sawyer days to make the visit which elevated the sense vastness of the island.
Super kudos to the DMs: Grumpycat, Innis, Tophat and the DMs that handled the Spacejammer quest, the Darkling and Mr. Snuffles. I had a lot of fun!
The big cookie kudos to the person or team that created the weave master path. I know the timers tend to get a lot of complaint but I have never had the pleasure of playing such a versatile and powerful yet absolutely 100% fun class. Thank you so much.
I know I am missing at least half a dozen characters. Sorry! This is what happens when you play an overly social character but keep bad notes and have to rely on your subpar memory. Even if I played him for six more months I don’t think I could have gotten to all the wonderful characters I wanted to and there would likely be another twenty to add to the list.

Grr...no...you still can't get Ambroz out of his clothes >.>
Regardless! I loved Sawyer, a great character and always managed to get a chuckle or two out of almost every interaction, regardless of the tone. Sawyer really cracked me up and I've enjoyed playing with any of your characters, even if I didn't know it was you! 10/10 would rp with again!

Re: The Expulsion from Eden
Wow. I've no idea what has happened but I hope to learn. Sawyer is/was a truly marvelous character, one who was complex, deep and a lot of fun to be around. He also proved to me that you can make a lot of conflict/roleplay not by running around swinging a blade/spell but by just sitting down and talking to people! The really splended character. He took Filtel Nou'ate in ways I never expected him to go (literally!) and I know my last month or so of playing Filtel was fun mostly due to Sawyer's presence. That ways a lot! I'm a little saddened that Sawyer's tale is over. But there is a bright side! We get to see what gem you have for us next. I, for one, am very excited!

Curses! We only got to RP together very briefly, but I had always wanted to do more! And he was such an interesting character ;_;
Hopefully I'll get a chance to RP with your next one much more.

Im so sorry to see him go, he was an amaaaazing character. I will look forward to what amazing character you think up next and will be honored to experience how they change the world! Sawyer certainly tossed Daijin for a loop but it was the complexity that made it amazing. The unclear lines between good and evil, innocent and corrupt, and hero and villain, it makes the world go around. Thanks for letting us all see and experience Sawyer.

Aggggh! Nooooo! I was planning on rping more with you when I got back from being sick. Awwww man. I really did enjoy Sawyer's story!! I'm so happy I was able to at least get some great rp in with you! Not only was this character's story complicated, long, and interesting- it brought about some great rp behind prying eyes. Aw man this is such a bummer! I look forward to whatever brilliant next character you might roll up. See you in game!
