Auf Wiedersehen
Not the ending I exactly had planned for Mini, disappearing suddenly was not on my to-do list, but sadly the Kraken that was supposed to kill her was not faster than my internet service provider. Still she was coming to an end and I'm glad that I got done 70-80% of what I wanted with her (considering that the list would get one completion for every two new projects she started).
A big thanks for everyone I got to play with because you all made it possible. The fourteen factions would have been nothing without the various participants and those pulling double or even triple duty. I hope everyone has stolen the accounts of those factions because I never did get time to appoint a new leader ^^; Sorry.
And without further to do I present the like 2/3 list of folks I'd like to thank by name. If you're not on the list it's likely because, just like Mini, my memory is about as reliable as a drow in daylight.
Zeth - best trade minister ever. The fact that Zeth is able to roll with the punches of his near insane mayor/captain is a feat unto itself. A big reason why Mini didn't ditch with Sawyer sooner.
Kalika – dual wield faction specialized. Playful in a serious manner it was always an event to have her in and around town. Now if only people would actual use Wahrftown's public healing...
Ambroz – up in the sky; it's a Wayman, it's not, it is, no it's- oh to hell with it. Whether he was Clarence Clearwater, just Ambroz, or Ambroz Lyons it was a joy seeing the next progression happen.
Merin – hands down best friend, even if never bluntly admitted, Merin kept Mini on course more than once and likely would have until one of them ended up in a grave proper. Now if Giogi would hand over that painting...
Alicia – hidden as-sass-in. Being able to dig out the expressive Alicia was always a triumphant time and having back-up in sass meant the world. Here's hoping her experiments don't transport the Tower... again.
Sawyer – the only reason Minerva's second act ever happened. Without her pushy wives Mini would have likely been quite content to stay the head of Wharftown's Wayman until forever and a day.
Banites – who knew we'd get past kill on sight? From the war, to the deal and finally the welcoming it was one hells of a ride. Here's hoping to one day having a temple that doesn't randomly spawn traps, literally, everywhere.
Daijin – the amount of times Mini had to play dumb around Daijin is staggering. Each and every time they got together something happened and happened fast; whether good or bad is up for debate =p
Annette – all business, all day. If Annetter and Mini had ever had the chance to just sit down to chat I'm sure it would have been endlessly amusing. Or awkwardly silent.
Goar – sweet baby Beshaba on a cracker can't Mini get one normal Wayman? Just one! With his apparent cloning techniques I'm sure there will be enough Goar around to be enjoyed by all for some time to come.
Jordaine – first pick in the new seasons guard draft. So happy to have had Jordaine along for the last little bit and hoping to see her whenever I get back to playing the next character (after net negotiations settle).
Alastor – one of the originals and finally back just in time to see Mini follow after her wife. Tirelessly enjoyable to be around and a big part of Mini's eventual turn from mercenary to guard proper.
Luliette – another of the originals and best navigator the Huntress ever saw. No bird is more missed in Wharftown than Lu, except seagulls, but with practice we'll stop missing the seagulls.
Mifune and Wilhelmina – the first side-faction members to be hired by the newest Mayor of Wharftown. The Swamplands project was the beginning of what ended up being an addictive habit.
There are a tonne other of you that haven't been dropped in here and some were quite influential (looking at you Elaine, Marcus and Stath). I'll probably add in when I have more time or a stable connection but for now, from this internet cafe, I'd just like to say thanks for all the fish.
Kashall – whooped pre-epic Minerva's butt in the arena.
Elaine – best contract holder ever and maker of the rp's most unexpected.
Stath – the original man of sass; his tenure in Wharftown defined the Wayman's attitude.
Minerva – or not Minerva, possibly another name, who knows. Was fun ^^
Labriales – a true Malarite who will one day, maybe, get an answer to the difference between killing Joe and five-thousand Talassians. (Answer: xp and loot).
Noyan – we don't allow Banites, Sharrans, Dubious Character and Noyan into town.
Adalbrandt – hate him or love him this man will always be there if he can be.
Nyx – it was mostly in passing but even then interactions were a blast.
Marcus – day 1: hired by Wayman commander. Day 2: commander kills mayor. The explosive start could have gone even bigger but it was good how everything turned out I think.
Trok – someone who fills up the screen when he's present. Not likely to mistake for npc =p
Alejandro – wish they could have gotten to know each other more but for the little time they had I found it to be entertaining. Not to mention deep, hells, they never had idle chit-chat did they?
Ursullier – the one who Mini had eyes on to open up a whole new faction addiction with the dwarve's of Brogendenstein. Have to admit it was a little sad that I never got to dive in. Still Urs is a dwarf above dwarves.
Calduil – would of, could of, should have been Wharftown's carpenter but never got around to head-hunting him thus the FoD was narrowly saved.
Crinkles – who would have thunk raising a kobold in the mountain would be so much fun?
Ankles – who would have thought escorting and later saving a former gnoll king would have Mini constantly checking in to see how the Stained Paws were holding up?
Cuthbert/Cutty – I don't think he ever corrected her once about the name though proving his existence initial was a challenge. One he chipped away at until, ultimately, he was no longer a hallucination.
Astarial – sir.
Bogumila – you know that friend you have that you never get to see because one is running a settlement and the other is trying to keep a bunch of guards in line in an even bigger settlement?
Storm – one of the first elves Mini ever met that did not leave her with a sour aftertaste.
Shadow – wait, scratch that, never saw him. Ever. Really.
Jodie – Mini's healer who never actually got to do any healing. We got a few trips in, a few planning sessions but in the end people on the isle just seemed to be healthy. No plagues, no curses, no possessions – jerks.
The Grove – last week or so of play-time it really came alive and, just like Urs, was on Mini's radar as a fix for her faction addiction. Hope it's still going strong you lot!
Brashen – the 'merman' with a story for every occasion.
Ixy – always running forward because who knows what's catching you up.
Brightlance – from we're going to kill one another at first chance to friendly acquaintance I was literally blown back (yes, literally) at how the rp between these two went.
Bryce – base for the verb bryced as in “you really bryced that”. Typically used as substitute for taking the bull by the horns as brycing further entails reading the bull its rights and giving it a boot to the back of the neck.
Eztli – best totally not a heart eater Maztician, Maztican, Mazticer... eh, you all know what I mean.
Bleakhart – holder of the righteous axe Valhallen is the norse god of ro- oh, wait, that's not right..
Giogi – everyone needs someone to kick back and ignore work with. Still a bit weird how he has a painting of his friend's wife though.

Re: Auf Wiedersehen
^_^ Was fun. She is the one who influenced zeth a good deal.(she taught him that sometimes, underhanded tactics are the best way to deal with things) Glad He could keep her entertained and such. Will miss her! Now make a new toon and come play with us!

Minerva will be missed greatly - she was a fixture of entertaining, straight-faced shenanigans, and a surprisingly solid friend to a miserable little halfling.
And damn it, you and Sawyer fixed a fairly broken Wharftown. You'll be missed.

Sad to see Minerva go, and on such a note as well.
The Jordain has definitely taken her lessons to heart, and I do hope to see you on your next character!

Minerva. I'm sad now. ;-;
You will be missed! We're working on installing a tradition that all Wharftown Mayors must have an incomprehensible accent now.

Amen, Minerva, Amen.
But srsly, Minerva is and always will be a very fun character to rp with. Even if I did spend half my time deciphering the accent.. haha. She will be sorely missed.
But no srsly please come back.

I loved Minerva so much. She was such a great isle leader in terms of neutrality. Also she found a way to prevent violence in the only way people care about, their bank accounts. Bravo. I echo the earlier post in needing a translator but that only makes her more charming.

Seriously, Minerva will be missed. I'm glad to hear you didn't just fall off the face of the earth, though. Don't worry, Ast will be around to make sure Minerva's hard work doesn't go to waste.
Ast was pretty surprised when Minerva actually ran for mayor, given their conversation prior about him possibly picking up the contract!
Looking forward to seeing what you roll up next.
