Overdue Kudos

Post by Rockstar1984 »

Rockstar here giving some long overdue kudos. For some odd reason I've only recently been on the forums and I have a little spiel about how awesome you all are.

Kudos to the DMs and builders for continuing to watch over us players AND continuing to update and make changes as time goes on. When I first played back 2009 There were no paths, gifts, just a lot less features and even less areas and it was still one of the top rp servers. Major props to the Arelith team for continuing to improve it and make the world more and more immersive and epic.

Kudos to the playerbase at large for making all sorts of interesting characters and also for being the driving force that makes the server feel alive. Dms and devs can only do so much, ultimately it's the creativity and quality of the players that makes the world what it is. A major flaw that I've found with other servers is that while people may have great characters, there is no server wide conflict or drama, no intrigue to draw me in. While some spots of the server aren't as populated, as a whole there is no end to the plot and intrigue that your character can be wrapped up in.

What amazes me the most is that despite Gamespy being down and EA dropping all support for the game entirely people still buy NWN and some people buy it specifically FOR ARELITH. Some servers have a problem where 90% of their players are old ones from 6 years ago. Every time I see a new username my heart skips a beat. New people come on a regular basis, and most of them are willing to learn the ropes if they don't know them already. Kudos to new players, by which I mean everyone who's joined in the past few years.

I have way too many specific kudos to be able to list all of them. Pretty much every character I've interacted with on Lucia, Luna, or Alice on a regular basis and some that I've only seen briefly. Pretty much every active player both old and new deserves a pat on the back and a high five.

Oh the year was 1778...
