Links of a Chain - A lengthy kudos from Diem.
Last night brought forth the end to a small (and significant) infinity for Diem, and with it made room for another to span on.
This week has been absolute chaos.
And with that said, this is precisely the correct moment for a kudos for all infinities past and present.
Last time I was brief, this time... to hell with brevity.
Arcane Tower
*I'm always going to have love for this faction.
Elise Davontis - Despite the way Elise and Diem bump heads... I love Elise. She was the first to take Diem in. So thank you. Without Elise stopping Diem to talk that one day outside the Nomad... I just don't think Diem would still be around. The thing I really love about Elise is how real she comes off. She's so young and has had responsibilities thrusted upon her like few others... I think too few characters take that into account. Her flaws and her portrayed youth, is a part of what makes her beautiful. And WildOrchid, I just don't think the Tower would be standing without you.
Angela Amana - I feel a bit of heartbreak for how Diem and Angela last left off. Angela is the paramount source of inspiration for Diem. Also notably, she gives off a sense of poise that for me, is unparalleled to any other I've come across. She is magic! And of course, mew!
Astarial I-Should-Really-Be-More-Certain-How- To-Spell-His-Last-Name Dan'ethe - Astarial, Astarial, Astarial... Gosh... I think Astarial is both the kindest and fiercest elf that has ever stepped foot on Arelith. He is a friend to behold. And for me, his loyalty to both his virtues and those he loves, is what sets him apart.
Arcane Tower Members of Past and Present? -
Damianus and Arkwin, you two are fantastic. I wish there had been more time with each of you. Both these characters showed my naive flameborn a lot of warmth and some much needed wisdom too.
Caroline and Azar, I think these two getting the boot out of the Tower was ultimately the event that set Diem's navigation in an entirely different direction than expected by me. Caroline, where are you? Come back.
Anyhow, I think these two are lovely. They both unintentionally inspired Diem to stand for something and misbehave for the first time.
And to the Wardens? Thank you for all the blocked arrows, thine loyal meat shields. A shout out to Carlos, who to Diem, is just the gentleman of all gentlemen (with impeccable fashion sense, mind you).

The Nomad & It's Patrons
First and foremost, Bella is great. Few interactions, but she opened up some wonderful opportunities for Diem. Also, Stansby, Marsland, and Pollux..
I met such a variety of characters having Diem bartend and I enjoyed every single one of those interactions. Cheers to you all! *clink*

Seventh inning stretch and I know I'm going to forget people...

THE UNDERDARK
I cannot tell you how long I've been waiting to roleplay in the UD. It's been a week now, and it has been a total joy. Thank you all, for being so delightfully disgusted, cruel, demeaning, or otherwise to my elf. I am particularly fond of the house Diem's been enslaved to. Veldryn, Tal'ak, Vorzrima, Tal'iira, Kethan, and Xy, thanks for welcoming me. I've been really, really, impressed.
Veldryn - ...is certifiably insane. With that said, I cannot imagine there being any other drow more suitable to be Diem's master. What has been really intriguing for me are these profound interactions Diem and Veld have. It's very difficult to confidently decipher whether or not either parts of a conversation are genuine, I think that's a question lingering in both their minds. I look forward to seeing where it all goes from here.
And Xy - This player is both hilarious and kind, and Xy is something special. I feel like if these two had some more time together, they could be a pretty devious duo. Xy has this electric presence for me. People don't listen to her as much as they should, and Diem could have saved herself a lot of time if she had.
---
Quin - You get your own section. I think Quin's great. Ultimately this is the key character that caused sooo much change for Diem. And that change -while not welcomed initially by my Flameborn- is good change and more appropriately, seems to have followed the course of fate.
Keep being colorfully chaotic. It is both maddening and appreciated.
---
And finally...
THIS SUMMER...-
All the prophetic movie trailers were right, three friends will more than likely never be the same again.
Kiravias and Nyilan... Just... I don't have words.
These two met Diem by the most ordinary of circumstances, and with time became the two most influential forces to my Flameborn.
Kiravias - Please never roll the Cardmage. To me it's the creativity of this player that is truly striking. Your ability to create a scene is unmatched. Kiravias feels very real, but even more so, it's his magic that feels real. His cardplay, spellcraft, and tomfoolery... As time went on with Kiravias, it occurred to me and Diem, that Kiravias and his magic are really one and the same.
Nyilan - Patience is a virtue, eh?
As Ice mentioned in his monster of a kudos... It's how alive Nyilan feels. It's difficult for me to pinpoint the moment Diem and Nyilan became so close... But I'm genuinely grateful that they did. Sus, you just have this way of portraying Nyilan with such artful complexity. He's this strong, mysterious, Warlock with glowing red eyes who carries an overwhelmingly intimidating presence... You would think the character might end there, but nah. Nyilan possesses so much depth, and after THREE YEARS IG, I still don't think Diem is entirely aware of how far it goes. With that, the process of tearing down Nyilan's walls brick by brick has been simply beautiful.
I've said it before and I'll say it again... I have no idea how I get roped into all these plots with such incredible role players. I adamantly refuse to take much credit at all for where and who Diem is today. It's all ya'll. So thanks for having me along for the ride.

Re: Links of a Chain - A lengthy kudos from Diem.
I finally made a forum account recently, and this was a pleasant surprise. I know I highly enjoy our interactions between Diem and Veldryn. He really does enjoy random chance, and the whole thing from the oddly, and suspiciously, fortuitous initial meeting to the current Master/Slave status has just been tops! Looking forward to see what happens next with Diem!

All I'll say is this.... You gave the Eldest Flameborn something precious.
You gave her a loving heart again.
Thank you for playing Diem.

Alia: The uncanny knack of Angela Amana to make the otherwise perpetually well-mannered girl lose her temper and be HORRIBLY ASHAMED afterwards.

Thanks for the nice things you said. It's appreciated.
Elise loves Diem and really had a hard time choosing between her beliefs and her friendship with Diem. I'm glad that Elise and Diem became friends and Diem joined the Tower even if it didn't end the way Elise had hoped for.
Diem is an amazing character and Mondegreen is one of my favorite players.
