The Guild of Necromancy

Post by GwaiLo »

I would like to express my personal real life thanks to everyone in the guild, and Smoke wishes to give each of you a warm hug with his frail Necromancer arms.
Kudos to:

-The Doctor, for creating the infrastructure of guild when it was just him and a strange man in black robes. Running around like an insane person at all times making everything work.
-Elan Talwen, who came to us when nobody else would, and loves riddles and pie.
-Iyzebel, always scrubbing our floors and fixing our plumbing. The greatest servant anyone could ask for.
-Annie Ankh, whose fake vampire fangs and excellent vocabulary keep Smoke young.
-Arrinock, our furry friend who is quick to anger and loves back scratches.
-Ta'li, the priestess with the mostess. Lover of humor and parties.
-Thurmore, the reason we no longer have initiation rituals.
-Jitua, whose border witch style is featured in next week's Wharftown Fashion publication.
-Hidou, who smokes cigars to relieve the stress of running the daily operations our quarters and shops and numerous problems.
-To our security forces keeping an ever watchful eye out for paladins: Illia, Madoc, Madi and Brottor. We would all be slaughtered and tossed in a ditch without you.
-Antiquity, whose black robes and style drew Smoke to her like a beacon of darkness on the streets of Cordor.
-Aeriel, whose hands are likely raw and calloused from tirelessly scrubbing away the "unsavory."
-And to our apprentices, Vance, Sanctus, Dreaz, Tutamum, thank you!

Together we are one big happy family in the darkness.

Thank you,

Smoke, The Necromancer of Wharftown.

Well what can I say. Illia was trained by some of the best and brightest of her day in "problem management".

Now that I have moved on from yet another faction *wipes brow* (I swear I don't do this faction hopping on purpose!) its time to give some needed Kudos.

The guild of necromancy is very fun. It is not what you would expect. From the top down it was humorous first, with edginess mixed in as an afterthought. It has quickly blossomed into a -huge- faction and for good reason. I never met most of its members. But heres some well deserved Kudos to the ones I did meet:

Smoke - I don't remember if any character ever made me laugh this hard. Our characters got stuck in a small closet area behind a door transition and -makesafe couldn't save us. He lensed out and sent a hin to give me a bag of popcorn while I wanted on him to bring me a lense. It was the start of a beautifully comical friendship. At the end, Smoke turned out to be a dirt bag afterall, putting his guilds needs above those of the isle. Who knew! But hey, he finally let Aeriel release Kate! Smoke did an amazing job of helping people feel included.
10/10 would rp with again :D

Ta'il - I covered in another thread. She is a fantastic villain. I'm amazed Aeriel managed to make her sour exit from the guild without being murdered by her. In their 1st final exit rp, Aeriel was with a warded up Ta'il.

Glencour gets a shout out for stumbling upon that meeting, and making it known there were 4 stealthed vampires right on top of aeriel, and for sticking with her for the rest of the encounter. He possibly saved Aeriels yet perfect record of not yet being slain yet by all the evil scumlords she deals with.
Alicia gets another shout out for once again having Aeriels back in the 2nd, final exit rp, again preserving that record.

Ta'il always kept me wondering "is this the day shes going to kill Aeriel?" And made it very fun.

Drasz - was another person who brought laughter to the guild. Pouting and hiding out in the proverbial bathroom refusing to let Aeriel cure him, calling her a vampire when she said she would not come in unless invited.

Arrinoch, or affectionately mister growls, was among the members who were suprisingly kind to Aeriel. Accepting her despite the reasons why she was among them. It was nice that he let rp happen even if sometimes I felt like Aeriel should have just been dropped off the balcony, onto some spikes.

Vance Redgrave - It's not every day you get to go for a long walk in the woods with a scumbag. I loved our "date". I enjoyed how he found a way to turn the admiration for Michael's artwork into what Aeriel believed was surely to be her murder scene. He does a very good job of creeping you out, doing his Deity justice in the process. Making your date feel like she's fixing to be bloodily murdered though, yea, there wasn't a call the next day.

Thurmore - If Ta'il was 1st on the most likely to kill Aeriel list, Thumore had to be 2nd. We really did not get that many sessions together but I was always longing for more. He wasn't afraid to tell Aeriel just how much she didn't belong in the guild, and yet still looked out for her well being, at least at first.

Elan - I liked how he was willing to let the roleplay change his character. He is Aeriels greatest success story, allowing her to help him understand why animations are bad, beyond just the obvious reasons. She says it because its true, If aeriel wasn't "married to light", and free to pursue relationships, she and Elan might be an item.

Sanctus - He caught Aeriel sneaking around the hub in her "black dress" and the 2 of them went on an "Andunor date". He was very helpful to me as a player educating me on the in's and outs of Andunors geography, even if his character had the manners of a dog. No she is not going to strip down and take a bath for your viewing pleasure! Pagan!

Note: The surface only has dive bars. If you want a "nice" restaurant, apparently you have to go to Andunor. Plz fix.

Hidou! - We had very opposite schedules but this was another guild member who I was always longing for more opportunities with. He was very helpful in many ways. I don't think Aeriel ever got a chance to call him a pagan though. :(

Zizi (Iyzebel) - Their character has alot of depth and it takes alot to keep up with all of the personalties and trying to understand how to communicate and appeal to the different ones is a task that might leave you as mentally broken as Zizi is. The player gets a special thanks for replacing the materials needed for remaking a Mystran altar they, icly, needed to do away with.

Cassius Gallostone - I have never seen someone make such a pompous and arrogant character. I laugh every time he takes out that throne. I think of him every time I see any throne. You do an amazing job of playing the role without making it overly irritating. Kudos to that, few can pull it off.

Illia - Aeriel screwed over this character so bad, not once, but twice. Its still ongoing rp I dont want to spoil but its another guild member who I find myself afterwards eager to when our next session can be. You are not fooling anybody by the way Illia, she has good alignment written all over her. Unless you make her angry. #renameBruceBanner

There are more members who deserve kudos, but so many its hard to remember them all. Seriously, just go rp with the guild if you haven't. They have some top notch members.
