Valyrr's Farewell
The time has finally come, Valyrr has been rolled. It was a tough decision, Valyrr was an experience like no other character of mine on Arelith. Even though I don't believe it was his time, it was time for me to let him go. Boy did i get a memorable experience from him, one i hope is continued in the other characters to come. This list is a shoutout to all who whom left a lasting impression on me throughout Valyrr's lifetime. It's a long list, but i do wish you all to know how much your interactions meant to me. They were truly special.
Xun'viirs: All of them. What a great house to be a part of. Never did i think Valyrr would join a house when making him, but i was glad he did.
Talyrrae Xun'viir: You get the first, for you were the first to call on my character standing in the hub. The first to incorporate him into the house of Xun'viir. Your rp is truly stellar. A character whom represents her position and drow culture in everything that they do. This is a character whom you know is a Matron, even without the knowledge beforehand, just by the way they present themselves. Always bringing in other people, leading others, creating a wonderful environment for everyone. Your rp always inspired me to try harder and be better at my own. For that, thank you, i hope i get the chance to rp with you in the future.
Phaerlyn Del'yl: I loved watching your character change throughout the time spent with her. I was always so envious of how your character pulled in so many others. Always interesting, always an amazing character to be around. Valyrr looked up to Phaerlyn with great admiration. Granting him the wisdom he so often lacked, listened to him during his times of trouble, being the drow he could depend on when he needed it. An unforgettable experience, thank you.
Jezrala Xun'viir: Though i did not have words to express your character before, another kudos brought to light what i think it is what i loved about your character. Comedic relief. Your character was always the butt of everyones jokes. Picked on and made fun of for everything she does, but that definitely doesn't make me think poorly of her. Loved being around this character, i had more than enough laughs from the rp and never a dull moment. Thank you.
Ilmryn: The guy that was definitely a bad influence for Valyrr, and i loved every minute of it. Kept him in check when he got out of hand, and provided the male rp that Valyrr so desperately needed. I will regret not sticking around longer to explore more of Ilmryn, but i enjoyed what little i did manage. Thank you.
Wheua Xun'viir: The witch, the heart taker, the crazy one whom i'll never forget. Though Valyrr hated the Witch and sought opportunities to rid arelith of her, I enjoyed every interaction. Her crazy erratic behavior was very much enjoyed. Turning every opportunity into one for rp, along with a personality that left one wanting to interact more with this character. Loved every minute of it. Thank you.
Honorable Mentions: Vindur, the bromance we shared led to some hilarious rp, good times, good times. Sittika(slave), Valyrr's first and only slave, and Valyrr was certainly heartbroken when she left. Sittika gave Valyrr a chance to explore his more compassionate side, a nice break from the typical drow rp. Rauvlin, our characters didn't rp as much as i'd have liked, but your rp was always enjoyed. Thank you.
Jadiira Khal'Naust: You brought my character into another type of rp that i had been longing for since i started him, and you did it beautifully. I regret not sticking around to continue it and see where it led, but it gave Valyrr a feeling of importance in an area he had not had much say in before. Thank you.
Jagga Khal'Naust: Boy are you something special. For a newer player?, you have an amazing ability to bring people in. Whether it was Valyrr, or a series of random alts i goofed around on, your character was just.... there, creating rp for all of them. Love what you're doing with him. Keep it up. Thank you.
Saramus Na'dar'zul?:The necromancer whom never pvp'd Valyrr despite consistently blowing up his vampires. Despite my characters act of zealotry and stupidity, you managed to make it into a satisfying rp experience every time. Which is probably why i kept doing it. Thank you.
The crazy gnome mage: One time, one rp session. That is all it took to be remembered. You turned a dull day into a fun and eventful one. A shame i never got to see more of this character. Thank you.
Korianna: Elf prisoner for a day. You gave Valyrr a chance to rp his darker and more sinister side that normally doesn't come about in his cycle to cycle activities. Not to mention, several moments of sudden laughter from your characters quick witted responses. Too bad she never got the chance to exact her revenge, i'm sure it would have been an amazing experience. Thank you.
The following are a mixture of kudos from Valyrr and Draknah. I have no idea what i was thinking making an obnoxious 8 wis/6cha duergar, but it was definitely fun despite the silliness of it all.
Nihlanna Mae'viir: Without Nihlanna, Draknah would have certainly been killed every time he encountered a drow. She put up with his stupidness and kept him out of trouble as much as she could. Nihlanna certainly made Draknah worthwile. Thank you.
Xal'rae's: From the first time Valyrr encountered your house with the crazy gnome mage, to the feud between them and Draknah, Matron Xal'rae and Trilx were just two of the well formed house that is Xal'rae. I have high hopes for the Matron(Malxtrae? Never did quite master your name).Your rp was comparable to that of Talyrrae in many ways, a truly impressive display. Thank you.
Javier and Koona: Khan and Thorn were not around long enough for me to rp much with them, but having experienced the rp of the Frost Sisters and Javier/Koona, i'm sure they would have been equally as entertaining. Whether it was putting up with Draknah's obnoxious behavior and only killing him once(mad props for that) or just leaving a lasting impression on Valyrr with your unique version of gnoll rp, you are both equally great players and hope to see more of you in the future. Thank you.
Bjorgun'mork, Kurgal'kronk, Ulag: I first met you as Valyrr and your rp quickly inspired me to make a duergar. It was then, Draknah was born. I definitely regret not sticking with him, especially with all that you guys did for him. All your characters were enjoyable and just overall a fun experience whether ig or ooc. Draknah hasn't been rolled yet, so if there's anything he can do to repay, feel free to message me. Thank you guys.
I truly felt a part of the world of Arelith throughout Valyrr's time. One that i'll never forget. I can only hope my future characters will receive the love that Valyrr did throughout his time. Thank you all, sincerely.

Re: Valyrr's Farewell
Flattered I got a mention dude. It was a pleasure. It was just tiring to do it for more than a short time.
Winifred Rhoswen: "He said good things. Even said ye weren't a Paladin when I asked!"
Ryana: "Not a paladin." I'll take that as a compliment.

Re: Valyrr's Farewell
Thank you for the Kudos, and Kudos back for your excellent druid, probably one of the best I have ever seen RP'ed before, with Valyrr's special trained oversized bats that breath fire, and can't fit into doors, but I'll never forget two words from Valyrr! XD
Guano incident.
That solved anything.

Re: Valyrr's Farewell
Nuuuuuuuu! This is my first experience of being really gutted by a character's end. I now totally regret the last few times I walked past Valyrr and thought, "I've got loads of great rp to do with this guy... but I'll just get this done first."
Re: Valyrr's Farewell
Ahh, Draknah was the grimiest, roughest duergar ever, and I totally loved him for it.
Valyrr was always a pleasure to work with.
We'll see you around for sure, once we get back around the cycle to the underdark again.

** Malixtra!
Thank you for the very kind praise. Valyrr was a pleasure to interact with and his absense will be a great blow to the Underdark's community - he definitely was one of a kind.
Very much looking forward to whichever character you run next, and here's to your future successes of their devious plots!

Re: Valyrr's Farewell
Even though I've never played with this Valyrr specifically, BattleDrake was the first person that I regularly RPed with when I first came to Arelith : ) An amazing player and the name Valyrr is so nostalgic, so I had to comment.
I hope your next character would get to me one of my current ones! xD

Re: Valyrr's Farewell
I really enjoyed our one little PvP encounter and the resulting chat in Fugue after Phaerlyn punched Celendil out! Valyrr seemed like a cool character, for sure.
Re: Valyrr's Farewell
It was a pleasure and a privilege. Our characters gained in power, strength and wisdom together and Valyrr was always a challenge and perhaps Phaerlyn's most reliable ally. The emotionally sealed-up monk will likely never say it, but she counted on Valyrr a lot, far more than she had anticipated. May he enjoy life after the rothe guano incident.
And Ilmryn is definitely a bad influence.

Re: Valyrr's Farewell
We didn't interact as much as I would have liked, but seeing Valyrr on Vacazays was always good fun. She might never have admitted it, but there was a debt there for helping the odd little slave get her vengeance.
May you live in interesting times.
