Kudos for Tower Send Off
I want to thank Angela Amana's player and the DM that got involved to send off Elise Davontis and Alastor in style when they left the island. It was truly heartwarming to see not only the gathering, but that the staff got involved to have a proper send off.
I also want to thank the Tower personnel for this last year's worth of RP. Special thanks to Triad and Orchid for all the RP they've orchestrated with my guy over these last couple years. Its been a blast.

Re: Kudos for Tower Send Off
Angela was so heartbroken after that, and so was I. I spent like a half an hour just doing normal things, getting my head on straight. I've said all my thank yous, but... Really, Alastor and Elise have been more special than almost all the characters she's ever interacted with. On the level of Salasker, Jolly, Jacob, Diem, and Bas for her. It takes a lot to change her, but Alastor's unwavering morals and strength, Elise's sheer work ethic and passion, and the combined leadership you two provided truly inspired Angela, and myself. I will miss you guys so very much.
Alia: The uncanny knack of Angela Amana to make the otherwise perpetually well-mannered girl lose her temper and be HORRIBLY ASHAMED afterwards.

I'm not one for words on the forums, but there'll always be a place for Elise and Alastor in the Tower, no matter what may come.

Kudos to Elise and Alaster!
For Elise, I'm sure playing that character was like holding down a second full time job. The player would definitely need a vacation after playing a character so steeped in responsibility of running the greatest Magical Research Institute on Arelith.
For Alaster, we need look forward to your next character, B-laster.

Re: Kudos for Tower Send Off
I was just blown away by the events of last night. Thank you so much to everyone involved, players and DMs alike.
Yes, Bashagain, managing a faction as big as the Tower was rather like having a full time job and it was really getting to me. I know the stress of it showed in my RP at times, and for that I apologize to anyone that encountered my frustration.
I also want to thank all the people that helped try to relieve that stress: Angela, Alastor, Poe, Diem, Duskaria, Freidrich (I hope I'm not forgetting anyone).
And most of all, a big thank you and kudos to Rattus for the RP, the OOC support, and for having our characters leave the Tower together this time.

Elise was an awesome Archmage that got FAR too much flack, it was great to see the nice side of her with Calelruril. Will miss seeing her around.

Re: Kudos for Tower Send Off
I'd like to offer an expression of thanks to WildOrchid for the interactions two of my characters have had with the tower and particularly Elise. I have always found the tower to be willing to actively engage with things brought in from the outside - Even when somewhat inconvenient. Both of the characters of mine who have spent time there, and got to know the characters at the place, have brought things in that may not have been welcome or within the plan that the players/characters had. Despite the inconvenience, both of those issues were responded to with roleplay flexibility, generosity with ooc time, and good grace by Wildorchid as Elise and the tower in general...
And all that, despite me never being a member of the tower.

I'm also late to this kudos. I was sad I missed the departure - you can count on the fact that Ast will burn some XP to go visit on the mainland, though.
Alastor and Elise will be very missed - they and Ast made a very extended trek together, even though towards the latter half of this year we missed each other a lot. So many things started in Wharftown, and I'm glad you were both a part of the trek that led to the tower.

And thank you, Aodh Lazuli. Sorry, CragOrion. We were just going to make an announcement at the Tower meeting and depart quietly. We had no idea anyone was planning a going away party out of it. Kyle was very special to Elise. She's also happy to be away from his grandmother's scrutiny! That woman was intimidating.CragOrion wrote:Whaaaat? Nobody told Kyle!
Booooo!
Astarial was pretty much Elise's best friend and pseudo family. I'm sorry we missed saying good-bye to him. Thanks for allowing me to drag Astarial into the Tower with Elise.Aelryn Bloodmoon wrote:I'm also late to this kudos. Elise had a letter she was supposed to leave for Justian Fearshald but in all the chaos I completely forgot! Oh well.

Hey, I'm late.
Thanks a lot for your dedication as a player. Leading a faction can be quite taxing, and it seemed like you did it (mostly) alone for some time. Sorry for any frustration that might have brought you.
I've already missed Elise IG - Liunia too, she had a friend in Elise, and that's rare. (Especially if it's one she doesn't have to look after.)
Hope to see you around, and thanks again!
