Kudos, and farewell
In light of some rather harrowing RL events for myself, I have decided it would be best if I quit Arelith. I am likely not going to be returning at all, but I don't want to make promises either way.
Anyways, I have rolled Cassius Gallostone, and I wanted to send some kudos to people who affected my character greatly.
Vance Gravelle - The Cyric priest whom Cassius always watched closely. Thank you so much for your roleplay, and support in running things. Good luck with Wharftown, man.
Laron Blake - Cassius' master. My character did not become a palemaster on his own, he had a master to train him, and guide him to become the power hungry, avarice guy he is. Thank you for your incredible roleplay.
Smoke - I remember first seeing him and thinking what a stupid name... But regardless of his name, what and awesome character. Smoke was always a ton of fun to roleplay and grind with, and I was impressed to see some of the more serious side of a seemingly silly kind of character. Kudos to you, man.
Valav - The only woman Cassius ever loved, even if she was married. I had some awesome roleplay sessions with you, and some interesting discussions. Though he never got his chance to really woo her, it was fun to plod along.
Lyssa Keltain (Susidian) - Cassius and Lyssa always seemed to get along swimmingly, despite their incredibly differing viewpoints. They maintained civility, up until the big war. Thank you for the fun rp you generated!
Vivian Lechaunce / Every other personality - I had a lot of fun plotting with you! And doing nefarious things behind the curtain... That everyone pretty much would just find out anyways. Thanks for the great rp you provided.
And honestly, thank you to everyone who helped me. There are a lot of other honorable mentions to be made here, like: Shaeyl, Danira, Revan, Locke, Heinrich, Shauna, Tlesk, Arrinock, Ava, Thurmore, Asger, Arthur, Lairilwa, Drift, Asther, Gabriel Montavious, Rosalie, Elinaet, and many others I can't quite think to name.
Thank you all for the enjoyable experience I had, and I hope you all do well.

Darn...I didn't show on either of the three characters I knew him on. (Stig, Nyilan, and Krauss.) It was fun knowing Cassius and you were a chill player from what I could tell. From one inactive player to a fresh one, let me be the first to say you're making the right choice.
To me, roleplay has always been the escape. And eventually, you gotta face up, amIright?
I wish you the absolute best of luck, Jimmy. I myself am likely to return soon and for roleplayers, there just never is...an ending. Because the hits keep on coming. And with any luck, we survive.
I wish you the best of luck in what you face down, because god damn do we just need some luck sometimes. I am only dejected by the fact that you won't be around to be apart of my eventual necromancer main's roleplay because we had once talked about that and I was very pleased by the thought of Cassius being one of his potential mentors.
Seriously. I hope things work out for you. I know that I'm close to the end of my rabbit hole. I just hope yours isn't so deep.

For all her being against what he was, some part of Lyssa will always meet the man she viewed as a friend and confidant, someone who protected her (regardless of motivation) and always picked her up when she was down. <3

Re: Kudos, and farewell
Genuine sadness to see you departing. I want to throw a kudos at you for playing a marvelously dark bad guy, unafraid to step into the ring and cause trouble. The way you handled the attack on Guldorand was splended, I wish you the best of luck in the future -whatever it may be.
This too shall pass.
(I now have a DM Discord (I hope) It's DM GrumpyCat#7185 but please keep in mind I'm very busy IRL so I can't promise how quick I'll get back to you.)

Re: Kudos, and farewell
Our characters never met, but I've seen Cassius in handful of situations, and I always thought that you portrayed a type of villain I really enjoyed. Thanks for that. It's sad to see you go.
Just wanted to point that out, hope everything's going to be alright for you!

A genuinely terrifying and ambitious character. Though our characters were adversaries in a shadow (and later, open) war, it never ceased to amaze how you pushed to get things done. A great character with his dark charisma and sinister agendas, our time was cut short too soon. Cassius was a major threat, sad to see the story come to a close, but know that it was a tense and fun period in history. Good luck with RL man.

Kudos for all the good times, both from my Marcello and Vance era. A lot of plotting and madness, and I sometimes felt genuinely sorry for Cassius when Vance dropped figurative bombs at Guild door ("so this happened today... I am totally innocent"). Law vs. Chaos and we still somehow made it work brilliantly despite differences.
Great story, and I'm sad to see you go. Take care in RL, and I hope whatever is going on will turn out for the best for you. Peace.

I applaud you, sir. Cassius and his schemes reminded me so of what I consider "the golden times of the abyss", just sooo good. Made me want to get back into evil chars ^^
Enjoy life. It's kinda cool

Re: Kudos, and farewell
Korianna will always be confused by Cassius. All the nefarious things he did and she will only ever remember being saved by him, him hating her ex husband, traumatising people she cared about but never seeing any of it personally, him trying to recruit her... and wielding the Black Blade of Disaster that helped end him.
That day in your house was a pleasure, because I got the sense if anyone ever tried hard enough, Cassius might even have been redeemable. Kori will regret having not tried harder to see what if. She can only be consoled that she was anywhere near a match for him, in the end, and justice was done.
Take a bow, Jimmyred, and whatever life throws/has thrown, I do hope we have the pleasure of your company in the future when you're ready.
I know how hard it can actually be to return after an absence, and RPing with you made my return a lot easier to deal with because you reminded me of why I came back - good, solid, entertaining RP that made me truly stop to think. You'll be missed for it.

Re: Kudos, and farewell
It's a shame to see you go, but you've been a valuable part of RP for alot of players Jimmeyred. Cassius was a major part of Duncan's early character development and I can't thank you enough for that. Duncan did truly believe in Cassius' goals quite wholeheartedly until spending too much time with the other side brought him to think otherwise. All the intrigue and backroom deals and planning brought myself as a player to be further committed to improving my RP.
I started as a player with very little knowledge in mechanics and you've been a large part in teaching me what I know about the server and game itself. So thank you for being patient and answering all my questions and offering me advice regarding builds and such.
While Duncan could take a breath when he finds out Cassius is gone, the days and nights wondering and trying to predict Cassius' next move will be sorely missed as well.

Thanks for being Revan's mentor and a great role player. I hope we can meet again IG and continue our ambitions!
Re: Kudos, and farewell
Great Villains drive the grand story that is Arelith. Cassius was one of significant major villains that deserves kudos. We eagerly wait for your next character. Well done!

Seriously... Two dracoliches, eight vampires, seven or eight palemasters/necromancers against a paladin, a cleric, and a warrior at Manor of Mourn? I'd take better part of valor any day, man LOL!

Cassius was absolutely awesome. A true villain to be proud of. Made a whole lot of mess and kept the entire server sleeping with one eye open. You inspired me greatly. Good luck wherever you go!
