-needless deaths that could have been avoided (whethe they were my own PC's or not)
-somebody using -follows on you without a good reason (i.e. afk) this gets me so mad, lol i will deliberately try to break it in any way possible.
-bashing fixtures for no reason
-The new "fertile ground" system.
-The layout of 90% of all living quaters larger than a single room appartment. (huge open areas with a tiny bedroom, why only 1? why not 10 for the large mansion style abodes.. )
-Epic dungeon nerfs (please, stop)

-that cleric godsaves are based on a system they will almost always have no chance of succeeding in mid to late adventure when crunch time really happens
-fighters vs willsaves.
-the frequency that people roll characters at.
-cataclysmic lag at any DM event even for those not at the event.
-trying to stand next to or close to somebody and you push them behind you.
-being sucked back into doors from across the room when they are closed/opened.
-people ignoring basic role play input because its not inline with the narative they want to portray.
-not understanding what the "configure packages" on character create does until its too late.
-Beholders stripping anything infront of them completely bare of wards, despite your level, or the wardings / protection in place.

The lack of proper lions on Arelith, beyond the 3 lionesses on Sibayad. But that's a fault of NWN's, not the server.

I once had a myon elf that was focused heavily on the forest. I deleted him. Two months later, the forest got a huge and awesome update.
I had an archer ranger wild elf heavily focused on stealth. I deleted him. Months later, the ranger-arcane archer update was put in, as well as sd changes.
I had a parry based character that, without surprise, was gimped because of it. Now parry is a lot better.
Loved playing orogs. Decided to not do it anymore. Now they have been greatly improved.

Re: Things that really grind your gears...
Being crippled and unable to walk at normal speed after I die. Just makes you log off until it passes because it's such a chore to rp when you are moving so slow. I am not a fan of systems that encourage players to log off, I do not see what this system brings to the table. It would make more sense to me to lower every stat to 10 or something so you can still sort of function. I am assuming the point of the system is to get you to slow down and rp after a death, not log off or switch characters.

The strength penalty is going to be removed in the near(ish) future, for the reasons you stated.Lost Valkyrie wrote:Being crippled and unable to walk at normal speed after I die. To be clear, I'm not the one that is pantless!Miaou wrote:People not wearing pants.
Re: Things that really grind your gears...
This is relative to the amount you're carrying. If you are carrying 200-550 lbs (or more), 10 str would not be sufficient.Lost Valkyrie wrote:It would make more sense to me to lower every stat to 10 or something so you can still sort of function. The system was designed to have a serious drawback all the way up to level 30 (losing 6k xp within that 30k XP bubble is negligible), we just decided to go with stat penalties to achieve this. It's favorable to losing 6k XP in most cases, though I'm open to giving players the choice between the old and new system, provided there's some drawback for dying at 30.
Having players log off or switch characters to cool off after respawning while having it wear off while offline was definitely a consideration. This was preferable to the old way: you kill someone, next thing you know they're standing right next to you pretending like nothing happened, casting you the odd mean look.

Dwarves.
Having too many characters.
Unable to decide which character to play solely.
Giving up and just playing every single character.
Wanting to ride a pony. Not having the heart to 5% anyone to ride one.
An Archer shooting you from all the way across the map that you can't see, and therefore can't shoot back, even though you're an archer too.

Yeeks. Find one in the game, and you'll understand why. They make rust monsters look tame.
