Daltanius gets summoned by the Cage Boss in the Underdark about a NEW challenge since he bested their Soul-Eating Beast a season ago. Down he goes along with Azrael the paladin and Gyr the mage to face whate'er battle Cage Boss has prepared for him.
Daltanius enters expecting some monster, but is promised a horde. Blind-folded, stripped of his wards, deafened, and eager to fight, he faces a horde...of INNOCENT Children, women, and men taken as slaves by the evil drow!
Blindfold's off, deafness removed, Daltanius goes crazy for the massacre he's wrought, and challenges the Cage Boss for a showdown for right to take the slain bodies, and manages to defeat him.
They collect the bodies as per terms of the duel against the Cage Boss, but the bodies are beyond raising... The trio flee the Underdark, pursued by larger forces of Underdark.
Daltanius loses his pristine good alignment and shifts to lose his paladinhood - until such time that he'd atone for the evil deed he's done.
This is a freaking RP gold for a paladin character. Well done, Grumpycat! Kudos to you!
