I am not shunning on people that actually write descriptions. That is perfectly fine and I agree with you that many times they can add to the overall character, as not everything can easily be portrayed through the NWN engine. Say scent, or limping, or some other things.

But a description is much more than that. If you look at people in the street, sometimes they don't have a particular scent, or limp, or really have anything out of the ordinary. You can still describe their clothing, they general physical features, etc. You can also do this for NWN models, if no description is present to build on top of that.

Saying you need people to have descriptions to describe them is what I am arguing against, you absolutely don't. And claiming that people that don't have descriptions do this solely to gain a mechanical advantage is... not a correct or a fair assumption to make at all.

There is no requirement for people to write descriptions, though we encourage them to.

Often times if there is a disguise they may alter or remove a description for the sake of convenience and not being metagamed.
While it's understandable that there is frustration in those who provide a lack of roleplay in the face of causing either in game crime or just general game griefing, do understand that with persistence a good guard/sentry will be able to gain the information they need. And sometimes some folks do things as a one-off encounter, and some mysteries may never be solved. That is part of the challenge.

Should there be a need to report to the DM Team, there is no need for any fancy description, just send us the name, disguised name, or player name and the rest of the related details. But when it comes to in game reports for characters, the descriptions need to be in game details.

I will restate what I already have in that it is required for anyone posting reports, notices, heckling, or an in game post of any kind should be doing their utmost to describe the individual in question to the best of their ability and not just using a *looks like Tim Bamsham* because it is against the rules of the server to do so.
