For Those Who Came to Midsummer

Post by Rockstar1984 »

This is the first event I have ever managed entirely on my own. It was planned entirely on a whim, because I last minute realized that the IG date of a festival would line up with this Wednesday evening. So I would like to give big kudos to all who attended, because the massive group of people I saw waiting outside the Logjam was far more than I had anticipated. ANd people continued to show up afterwards! <3 you guys! From the "Swords Cast Down" Lliiran ritual, to Sorri's recognition as a Ruby Rose Knight who went above and beyond, to the party shenanigans that ensued later, this was fun thanks to all those who showed up!

Some specific mentions:

Z'ephyr Nightsong: We needed a bard! And the ones Alice knew to call on weren't online. Thank you!

Ghestaldt and Othragon: Having some of Brog come over was fun, and the interaction between the two dwarves and Alice and Rannos, although it did take Alice outside a moment, was a fun moment to rp out. Alice was certainly pleased to have the Thane and the Kuld's captain over. Half the fun of being a settlement leader is interacting with the other officials.

Sorri Sin'vah: The whole RP of Sorri converting to Sune and joining the Ruby Rose Order was a lot of fun from the beginning, and Sorri continues to be an amazing character to interact with. Her recognition was well earned and I look forward to further seeing Sorri grow as a character.

Rhaeg: For being a good sport and putting up with Alice's flirtations and teasing, as she does what a Sunite does best: bat the eyelashes until people say yes! Rhaeg is a great character, and making him blush is just way too easy.

Borin, The Wandering Wolf: Borin got several fits of laughter from me at my computer, to a point where I was wiping spit off my monitor. Every emote of Borin stuffing his face was so detailed to a point where I could vividly imagine with ease and his stuffed face voice was spot on. Alice will know to make extra food the next time she plans a party.

And finally...

Bernadette: Never before has another character made Alice's blood boil so. Alice has made her disdain for Bernadette publicly known ever since she heard about her and the Hand of Humanity. Naturally, the half-elf Sunite is extremely opposed to everything Bernadette stands for. In fact, I was actually hoping that Bernadette would show up and try to crash the event, because I wanted that moment where her and Alice finally meet. I really hope, now that Bernadette and Alice have met, that they'll become great sworn enemies of each other. I had been waiting for their meeting for so long. Alice has many enemies she indirectly opposes, but Bernadette is the first that Alice will fight head on. So major kudos to you!

Oh the year was 1778...

Yeeeee buddy.

No seriously, it's characters like Alice that make RPing a settlement official a million times more fun.

That was a lot of fun.

Also, kudos to Alenduil for the disgusting eating competition.

That event was indeed fun and had a great group of people involved in it!

It was also special to Alenduil for a few reasons too, one of them of course being that impromptu disgusting eating competition with Borin. Holy crap was that hilarious! I keep chuckling at the thought of Borin eating angrily at Alenduil. The dwarf gives new meaning to the word "hangry".

Sorry I couldn't stick around to the end, but yes it's good to see people gathering like that.

Well done.

I was highly amazed at how the server gathers for these events. Brought a smile to my face. Kudos to all that went and the player that organized it for making my day.

(Not Bernadette's face. Way too many knife-ears).
