Just another soldier
(Im bad at these sorry...)
Red has departed the island to find a a home for his wife and children in Luiren.
"He glanced over his shoulder once last time to survey The Dale. Glancing down at the scimitar at his waist he realized it would be the last time he would need to draw it to kill, and he was happy"
Red has been my longest running character, and by far the most fun.
Im going to miss some people in this kudos Im sure, but dont think that it doesnt mean you're not important. The players and the rp make this server for me, and all who interacted with Red helped make this character memorable for me.
Ruby Dapple (Highfen) - I cant begin to describe how awesome you made Red to play. I dont think Ive become so emotionally attached to a pair of characters. You're such a great RPer and Im so glad that we reconnected after all these years of playing. Finally they get to be happy, something I didnt think would ever happen for Red, but you made it happen.
Buppi - Red's best friend, forever. I didnt expect the two grumps to become as close as they did, but Im so thankful I got to rp with you. Your character has a depth and a path that I hope I can one day achieve for a character. You're one of my favorite people Ive ever played with, and I look forward to our interactions in the future <3
The Swordhills - There's not much I can say! You two still maintain the title of my Rp mentors and I always get attached to your characters. Our time in bendir together was amazing and you blow me away with your level of dedication and depth in your characters. *Huggles*
The In-laws - Corinne and Tepher are a truly unique pair of hin. The contrast with the serious and dour hin of the fort really had an effect on the entire settlement. Im glad I got to play with both of you, and I hope we get to do so more!
The Blimths - Mom and Dad. The heart of Brogendenstein. Finibelle is a constant presence of love for Red. Im so glad we got to RP the way we did. *Hugs for you*
Ghestaldt and Red had a rocky relationship, but it came out of a place of similar bullheaded stubbornness and respect. The most dorf or dorfs. Thank you both for everything.
Elinaet/Caellair - Our interesting interactions (coughflirtingcough) always challenged Red's dour demeanor. Yall really came as a breath of fresh air in Red's RP when I was at a low point with him. Thank you so much.
The Elves - Celendil. Relia, Mae, Eva, Isania, Nico, Vanion, Melioth, Leela, Liunia and more! You all played as a big part of
Red's development. He always had a difficult time with dealing with the elven patience and culture. Coming to terms with that and coming to understand it was a lot of fun.
Team Guldorand - Rannos, Alice, Edric, Frank, Eldwyn, The Legion
Part of the reason Red lasted so long on the island was because of yall. The idea of a monarchy based in the frigid mountains was a great place for the dour hinnish soldier to make a home. I can honestly say I learned so much about NWN and about Red from you. Lion Lord's Blessing.
The Dwarves - Borin, Amarn'ar Orthagon, Kellarn, Grym, Torgal, and the rest of the stonepeople. Second only to hin, Samman were constantly a source of Red's headaches. A people of devout traditions and Laws and damn if a dwarven army not a fun thing to see. You're all unique and amazing characters. Long live the alliance.
The Gnomes - Terto, Smith, Dylo, and the rest! Seriously, yall have taken a race I have never had any interest in playing and given it life. I will def be playing a gnome in the future.
The Hin - Celia, Gemina, Maebyn, Lyra, Andy, Dazza, The Sparks, Farley, and all the other lovely short people. You were the source of my most fun and Red's biggest headaches. From the moment he came to the fort through his time being Mayor you all proved that Hin are a diverse and collectively dedicated race. Watching Bendir grow during my time on Red was so much fun, thank you all.
The Cordorians - Luca, Jadoth, Varg, Shauna, and... gosh there's a lot of you ^^ Cordor is a city that is constantly filled with intrigue and danger. Every visit there has resulted in some sort of adventure, and you all help bring that to life.
The "Bad" Guys - The villains of Arelith never cease to amaze me. Right when I think I cant be intimidated by another villain you all pull something amazing out. Between the beatings in PvP I received, the long political meetings, or simply sneaking around Andunor you keep this server fun for me. It cant be an easy roll, but you all make it look like so much fun.

Re: Just another soldier
God damnit. Not another one... Red has been amazing. Tough as nails, yet relatable. Who will keep Eldwyn sane in long meetings now?
Red had something which was delightfully counter to most halfling characters. Between Alex, Birdie and Red, there was a growing culture that proved halflings don't have to be whimsical and ditzy little things - and he did this without coming across as a short human. Good job.
I look forward to your next character.

Maaaaaaaaaaaaaan.
I loved Red and it was extremely interesting seeing him develop from the sidelines.
Him and Borin were always more or less in each other"s periphery, but even their passing one word greetings seemed to encompass a lot of mutual respect.
Kudos!

Re: Just another soldier
Red was a blast, one of the few hin and people Buppi was able to open up to. He was able to share actual wisdom and not hide it, and watched Red overcome many obstacles. Red was a dour hin on the surface, but down inside he was just as expressive as the rest. The moment it was proven to me was when the two were speaking, I believe in the treehouse at the Grove. Red was so flustered after revealing his feelings~ about a certain hin lass that I knew he was one of the best characters.
Go on, brother. May whatever gods watch over you, do so. <3

There are no words currently, only actual tears reading this. You know how Fini cared for him and I hope to sometime run across such an amazing rper again on my time here.

Oh gosh... My heart will never recover from this one.. Words cannot express how much fun I've had playing with Red, Ruby will join him soon and they can finally have their happily ever after.
So much love for you and Red.. You played him so well. I'm excited for the future! *Hugs!* and of course.. *Highfive!*

Re: Just another soldier
Red! Nooo!
Loved the character - from the very beginning when Celendil didn't trust his highly suspect "friendship" with Buppi, to just last night where he was, as always, a solid and trustworthy ally in the face of hardship. He'll be missed, certainly by Celendil, but also by the many other people he befriended and effected.

Re: Just another soldier
Good luck out there in the big wide world, Red.
He was the first non-elf that, in Relia's mind, helped her because he wanted to, rather than out of obligation or self-interest, and that's something that'll stick with her a very long time indeed.
Thanks for playing such a fun character, and I await your next one with baited breath.

Red was great for Bendir and revitalised it during his first run as Mayor.
Thanks for all the moments!
