I've been hanging around Sencliff for almost a week now, and I've noticed a few things that are concerning.
1) The rats for the undertunnels never spawn.
In the docks, there is an NPC complaining about the rats in the undertunnels, but there are none. Sencliff is a ghost town, and there isn't enough PC traffic for it to be a case of people shuffling through too often for them to respawn, they simply aren't there. This is crippling for lowbies who start in sencliff, because they can't stay, even if they wanted to. The place seems to be designed to funnel them to cordor, which isn't a great idea, because it keeps low level pirates out of the pirate town, and pointing to (3) its not easy for them to get back.
2)The Scuttler's Sands area doesn't seem to know what level range its designed for.
Aside from being a massive map, with only one chest(in this case, a weapon rack that appears to be perpetually trapped with a DC of 25 or 30), the strength of mobs is all over the place. There are sea stirges(which have absurd detection range, and drop on you from nowhere), with AB that should put them at about lvl 6-8 content, and then there are the drowned ones, who are all slow and easily kitable, easily lvl 4-5 content from the sheer lack of threat they are. Then there are the carnivorous snappers, which were borrowed from the UD creature pallete. These are solidly lvl 12 content. They hit hard, and hit often, with a lot of HP. These things eat lowbies handily. I cant tell what level range this area is meant for, and frankly, the loot is not worth the time. Again, its a HUGE area, and while there is a [Redacted] which is useful on one of the islands, the largest island, which has a cave inside of it, is boring(no narrative anything to look at) and utterly devoid of resources. Once you've found the [Redacted], there is absolutely nothing to draw anyone to this location. The shipwrecks don't have names, they don't have washed up treasure, there is literally nothing in the entire area to examine. The area feels unfinished, like this is meant to be more there, and simply isn't.
3)Sencliff is a bit obscure to get to, and that somewhat defeats its purpose.
In order to get to sencliff from the crows nest, you need to bluff check your way into a room in a basement and talk to an NPC.
If this is truly the only way there, its no surprise that the town seems to get less traffic than Sibiyad. If you don't know what you're looking for, or aren't super thorough in looking for it, you won't reach Sencliff. If this is truly meant to be the bastion for team evil on the surface side of the server, it needs to be more accessible.
