Spellcaster Spell DC's

We will file suggestions here that did not make the cut. Don't expect detailed responses, but the most common reasons are:

  • implementing the suggestion is impractical, or too much work for the gain
  • the suggestion is thematically against our design philosophy
  • the suggestion is too detailed/low-level
    Keep your suggestions broad and focused on RP benefits, please, not detailed suggestions of how to fix everything.

I think, to counteract the addition of Artifacts that allow the power-building super grinders to get 30+ saves on the most rediculous characters, all Spellcasters (except Clerics, because Clerics OP anyways) should use half of their Caster level for their spell DC instead of their Spell Level. This would make casters less effective at lower levels, but would make dedicated casters more effective than multiclassing casters, and give the casters a much needed boost for those annoying power-built PvP elitists who will make any excuse to kill you.

This has been done with Warlocks in the past, and I thought it was a brilliant idea that made Warlocks worth playing before the update. And it was even suggested that it be done with Warlocks again. My suggestion would benefit a large portion of the server, instead of just the people who decided to build a CON based Warlocks for the overpowered summons.
