Polymorph self and animate dead

Have the polymorph self shapes gain bonuses that scale depending on the level of the casting class, that make it viable for higher level play, or, if possible, make it assume stronger shapes the higher the caster level.
It's a great spell that becomes annoyingly redundant fairly quickly.
I've noticed while fiddling around with 2das, that you can give other spell casting classes spells. (I successfully gave bard 'polymorph self' as a test, selectable at spell circle 4. I was then able to give bard access to the spell 'bless' at spell circle 1, showing that divine spells also worked). I did this by going into spells.2da and changing a value under bard and polymorph self to 4. (looks like -> ****).
Therefore I suggest to give bards animate dead, create undead, and scare. The reason being for those that wish to emulate dirge singers and other such concepts.
