UMD skills

I need some feedback about this before someone can post it on the suggestion box.

UMD skills in my opinion should be a cross skill for all classes. I notice most players and me included have to take 3 level of rogue or bard just so that we can have access to this skill. Sometimes I do like my character to stay pure, and by doing so I am not able to take this valuable skill.

I wonder if it is possible for DEVS to make such changes. I have no experience about NWN script writing, therefore please inform me if this idea doable.

I believe UMD is tied to these two classes because if it was expanded it would be a balance issue. This has been discussed on the forums numerous times and while I see your perspective, I do not believe it would be healthy for the balance of the game.

actually this is a somewhat good idea, that it be a cross class penalty unless, like shadowdancer with HiPS, you take five levels of rogue or bard you only get 1 point for every two points spent.

This would put an end to the discussions about dipping for the 3 levels and actually restore more balance by killing skill dumps because noone is going to spend five levels for a skill dump

killing skill dumps is bad because the entire game is based around them.
