Problems with automated HAK download.

Hello.

I'm having problems to enter the servers. It returns the following error, found on the log file generated:

nwsync: sqlite3 error [14]: os_win.c:45373: (3) winOpen(C:\Users\Usu�rio\Documents\Neverwinter Nights\nwsync\nwsyncmeta.sqlite3) - O sistema não pode encontrar o caminho especificado. [The system can't find the specified path]

nwsync: Failed to set up sqlite.
Failed to configure NWSync in your user directory.

Any help is very appreciated.

It COULD be that the script don't recognize special PT characters in file paths? In this case: Usu[á]rios.

Veryify the integrity of your install?

Try using a shortcut with -userDirectory \Path\to\the\alt\my\documents.

here the new directory doesn't have any special characters?

Where do I put that extension (-userDirectory \Path\to\the\alt\my\documents)? On the NWN direct connect?
I tried making a new shortcut (right click on desktop, new shortcut) with it and it failed to find the destiny.

I also reinstalled NWN, to no avail.

Right click on nwmain.exe, click create shortcut. Open the properties of that shortcut. Make sure the shortcut tab is up. in the target box append -userDirectory \Path\to\directory. Remember if the directory includes spaces it has to be enclosed in "".

Edit: If you launch through steam, open the games properties through the steam library and click on set launch options.

As a note, the nwnsync folder is empty.

Try a different path that doesn't contain Usu[á]rios? now if you did.. that kinda ends the troubleshooting i'm able to do. and it's time to ask Beamdog.

The folder "usuário" is a Windows given name. It's a system folder.

It's the same as User on an English install

I had a similar issue. What solved it for me was, in the \Documents\Neverwinter Nights\nwn.ini giving a different path (one without special characters) at the "NWSYNC=..." line.

Doesn't mean they can't change it on my windows install for example my documents isn't under users. The above post has another way to chang nwsync path, which I can't believe I forgot of.

I wasn't aware that we could change the game's base directories.
