Let bards pick the length of their song

Lasting song is great, but in some cases, a bard might want to spam his curse song in particular more often during a battle to do more damage with it. I propose a toggle like parry or expertise that lets a bard switch between his lasting inspiration version of the song and a regular length song. Or if a toggle is not feasible, then make both versions available on the radial menu (assuming the bard has the lasting inspiration feat).

I feel like this would give the bard more tactical versatility. One of the complaints about bards is that they are "one button". This would make the use of bard song more tactical, as bards could pick the length of their song for the proper use case.

Also, as currently built, Master Harpers receive infinite bard songs which usually means they do not want to pick lasting inspiration, because it makes their infinite uses kind of useless. While having an infinite number of uses allows them to spam damage with curse song, they miss out on benefits of Lasting Inspiration. Also, technically, if someone were to currently notice that an epic bard had an inexhaustible number of short bard songs, they might be able to metagame that the player is a Harper. This would of course be bad form, but we all know people misuse that kind of knowledge.

The long and short of it is, letting bards pick the length of their song would give the class much needed versatility, and make clicking on bard song/curse song a more interesting feature.
