New fixture: Yay! ..Uhm?
I saw the list of new fixtures, I think it is awesome, I'm skipping that,
I head right for the first issue I came at, Adress it, Then the second issue that we may come across.
So we got a load of them, I was like, "oh, I want this one and that one"
But when I look in my quarter, I don't really have a lot of space due the ugly basic stuff that is in there.
Next thing that crossed my mind. I share the area, There is a fixture limit, Am I going to be quick enough to be able to place any of the new before the others hit it.
So, Yes, A lot of awesome stuff, But I wonder if we all can fully enjoy them.

Easy solution, delete an old fixture every time you put in a new one.Reallylongunneededplayername wrote: Thu Jan 02, 2020 3:22 am But when I look in my quarter, I don't really have a lot of space due the ugly basic stuff that is in there.

Ugly basic stuff is perma placed. Can't remove them.Nitro wrote: Thu Jan 02, 2020 10:10 amEasy solution, delete an old fixture every time you put in a new one.Reallylongunneededplayername wrote: Thu Jan 02, 2020 3:22 am But when I look in my quarter, I don't really have a lot of space due the ugly basic stuff that is in there.

Would it be possible to just empty out the quarters of fixtures so that we can decorate our quarters as we like? We have enough fixtures in the crafting matrix that we could have a lot of fun with that. Especially if rugs were craftable again.

I didn't think perma fixtures counted toward the limits.also didn't the same announcement claim that a number of areas received in teased fixture caps?Reallylongunneededplayername wrote: Thu Jan 02, 2020 11:12 amUgly basic stuff is perma placed. Perminent fixtures (as in stuff that arn't fixtures, as in stuff that can't be picked up, weren't player made, that are basic, solid, parts of the server that Irongron/Artors/whoever put down whilst they were making it in the toolset) do not count to any fixture limit.
There is talk of raising fixture caps in some areas. Watch this space.

This too shall pass.
(I now have a DM Discord (I hope) It's DM GrumpyCat#7185 but please keep in mind I'm very busy IRL so I can't promise how quick I'll get back to you.)

Sadly a great many of these, such the endless looms or long benches in the castle, are part of the 'tileset' itself, and cannot be cleared. Some of the HAK 'facelifts/overrides' allow these sections to be changed to a clear floor, but as of yet that's only possible for us in some of the 'City 1' interiors, such as many of the houses in Cordor. The way you can tell is if your quarter/interior has a 'ceiling' if it does I can likely go into the toolset and clear the floor for you.The GrumpyCat wrote: Thu Jan 02, 2020 7:40 pm Perminent fixtures (as in stuff that arn't fixtures, as in stuff that can't be picked up, weren't player made, that are basic, solid, parts of the server that Irongron/Artors/whoever put down whilst they were making it in the toolset) do not count to any fixture limit.
