As stated above, the newly added falchions use NWN's polearm animations.
This can probably be fixed rather easily by adjusting the respective "WeaponWield" entry in baseitems.2da from "4" to "****"

I don't know how to do that properly. Yeah, I forgot that part. In this case it is possible to record cycling through weapon color choices using something like OBS studio and submit it to devs.
