Description
==========
The spell "Shadow Conjuration: Greater Shadow Conjuration, Summon Shadow" (Level 4 Wizard spell) seems to have a bugged duration, not even lasting a single round, when it is intended to be Hours/level
Steps to reproduce
----------------------------
1. Memorise the level 4 spell, Shadow Conjuration
2. Use the spell to Summon Shadows
3. Observe Shadows Summoned
4. Observe shadows vanish after approx 6 seconds (1 round) / level
Expected result
-----------------------
Summons last hours / level
Actual result
-------------------
Summons last approximately 1 round

Notes
---------
Tested on a Character with GSF: Illusion, so the Summon changes for GSF: Illusion improving Shadows might be coming into effect?

Addendum: Also testing with the Circl 6 Spell: Greater Shaddow Conjuration. Same result, spell lasts rounds / level, not hours / level

As intended.wiki wrote:Shadow Conjuration
Shadow Conjuration: Summon Shadow follows similar rules as necromancy, but the spell belongs to the illusion school.
The duration of Summon Shadow is rounds/caster level.
Lesser Shadow Conjuration: 1 shadow.
Greater Shadow Conjuration: 2 shadows.
Shades: 3 shadows.
Re: Shadow Conjuration: Summon Shadow duration bugged
Suggest changing to at least turns / level? Rounds per level on creatures that do no damage seems woeful

They do little damage, but they take a fair bit, distract enemies, and more importantly have KD to spam and their sneak attacks drain the targets strength.
I would by no means say they are spectacular, but they are not utterly useless. Don't expect them to kill anything on their own, but for distracting swarms of enemies and weakening tougher ones they have their value.

Agreed. I'm having fun with these guys. Like you said, they do sneak attacks, knockdowns and they are relentless. True they only do about 3 points of damage per hit, but still a treat to watch and can be a real boon in an emergency to help you slip away. It's a fun spell.Hinty wrote: Sat Mar 28, 2020 6:53 pm They do little damage, but they take a fair bit, distract enemies, and more importantly have KD to spam and their sneak attacks drain the targets strength.
