As per the announcement on the website.....
Arch Priest's Duty

Bonus spell slot: Cleric 6
Enhancement Bonus: Wisdom +2
Bonus skill: Concentration +3
Bonus skill: Persuade +3
Bonus spell: Restoration 1 use/day
Bonus spell: Remove Blindness/Deafness 1 use/day
Runic

[Can be further runed with a Masterwork Tailoring rune]

I have made the robes, enchanted it, and now its rejecting the robe as too complex to be masterwork woven runed.

Is this intentional and the announcement was wrong?

:(

Did it come with a Rune attached? I think the original idea for the item was that it was un-runed, and would require a masterwork rune to enchant.

I possibly put a rune slot on it. I'm presuming that should be removed?

If the Robe is Runic, it will reject a Rune, it has already been enchanted with a Rune from it's creation.

Even pre-runed items must follow the rules for the rune process. You cannot add a rune to an item that has more than 5 magical properties. (Some items do not respect this rule, but that’s FOIG I think.)

I would keep the rune on it. If removed it would require a very steep investment to be “good”, compared to other items of comparable power. But you’re the boss.

Many clothing items can be double tuned. Rangers runic vestment for one. I think rogue leathers as well. I had thought that was the appeal of the robe. A shame.

Yeah i must admit i feel the same, i feel a little underwhelmed with them now - admittedly they're still good robes but when you've been hanging out for that rune and make the investment for it not to be there, given these robes are pretty much for a healpath only.

having that extra cookie attached really makes up for not having 8+AC on armors.

I just realised, that if the innate rune was removed, the item wouldn’t be able to receive a rune anyway - too many enchantments on it. Best to leave the Rune on there.

They're not very good robes if they can't be double runed - you'd much rather do CON/WIS/+2 spellcraft/+1 unisaves, and t3 rune on whatever else you'd like, be that a 3rd stat, another skill, or etc. The level 6 slot is mostly why you're wearing this - for an extra GS or Heal/Harm.

My understanding was that you'd attach the MW rune BEFORE enchanting it. It (or at least, the wizard version) requires a MW rune, in its freshly created form, because it has invisible "-Property" functions on it, like Elven Boots. If you use its Runic property, it has one more property than it had, and can no longer be Runed. But I THOUGHT, though I have not yet tried, that if you put a rune on a runic object, you can now enchant it twice at 100%, in a row, as it were.

People sell pre-Runed(loot) Runic(crafting) items with two instances of the blue runic text in the item description. So I'm pretty sure thats how it works. But I have never done it.

I'm really glad there's a new high end robe for healer path! I -LOVE- healer path. The overhealing regen, caster focus, pure class cookie, squishy clothie all plays perfectly into the exact kind of playstyle I love and enjoy. This is great. My favourite class on Arelith by far, so far. I love everything about it and am hyped there's a new robe for it!

I do agree that the robe is a bit underwhelming for its price/difficulty, a basic 2stat/skill/uni save robe might be more appealing for the cost.

It should definitely keep the runic property, and possibly consider allowing double rune but if so maybe make it a little more expensive to make, with some extra materials required. Chunk of adamantine? I dunno.

Cool, though :)

They were supposed to be able to be double runed

It does allow double rune, if I'm right about attaching the crafted rune before enchanting the Runic property away. They DO say "can be affixed with a Masterwork rune"

You can't place an Artefact rune before using the original Runic property on an item, since all an Artefact Rune si doing, is applying the Runic property. Since the item already has it, it can't apply it. This is the same for any item that's already Runic/blue text/etc - you MUST consume the original Runic property, no matter how strong the item is, before you can attempt to add an artefact rune of any size.

I look forward to being able to apply the rune to my robes once fixed. :)
