Harm and Inflict Spells

Post by ASqueakyPitFiend »

For those who play Undead races on the server, I'm sure there's been this question popped up at least once. Currently the coding doesn't allow these spells to be casted on yourself which severely limits options for sustainability in a high stakes situation. Using healing kits is a good way to heal damage when out of combat, but while in the fray you need something with a little more "unf" in it.

Given that Living creatures have a multitude of different healing options for both mundane and caster alike, it seems silly that the Undead PCs don't have that option but all logic would dictate they would not hesitate to use these Necromancy spells to their advantage to heal themselves.

Mundanes and arcane casters have Heal Pots and, with enough lore, scrolls of Heal to get a nice refill on their Hitpoints. If you're a cleric, you have direct access to those spells as well as Mass Heal and so on. But if you're a vampire, you have Healing kits and a special racial ability that only works in PvE on a 3minute CD. Nothing really substantial for in those sticky situations where a Harm spell could be the difference between life or death. I'd like to see a change to that and edit the code to allow these once harmful spells to be Casted with yourself as the target.
