Monster AI Behaving Strangely
Description of Bug Experienced:
(please include information of what you did, that lead up to the bug, what you expected to happen there, and what actually happened, then move on to describe below:)
I've noticed a large number of monsters ignoring the presence of player characters passing by, when the PCs were fully visible and not in stealth. This has been observed in a variety of areas, across multiple different creature types.
Steps to reproduce the Bug:
Unclear. It has been more consistent the last 3-4 days, but seems inconsistent in whether or not it triggers. I have observed it across multiple creature types. When the issue is occurring, I can stand right next to an aggressive spawn without entering combat.
Expected Result:
Aggressive monsters rush in and attack the player character when the player is near.
Actual Result:
Monsters sit calmly and idly until engaged regardless of their default aggression state.

I can confirm that I noticed something similar today. I'm not sure why.

Also Confirm. There have been enemies that I should already be fighting with far before I approached yet are not aggroing until after they have been engaged.
Its almost as if they didn't see the character, as often I'm in disguise and I don't get sight checked by the enemy. possible sight range or spot check bug?

It may have been an error on the DM side of things.
I haven't seen this since though.

I've noticed this pretty much yesterday. Had a bunch of hostile mobs not reacting to me, until attacked.Za-Lord~s Guard wrote: Thu Apr 23, 2020 8:38 pm Description of Bug Experienced:

Found a lone opponent, approached, took something like 12 seconds for it to notice my presence.
It seems to be hapepning during heavy load times, so perhaps server is "throttling" monster AI and does not update them as often as usual.
Another forum ban, here we go again.

Stuff like this is often the result of lag, which we have had a lot of in the last few days in particular on the surface. But I have noticed it some too, even if I have been playing over night to avoid the crowds while I level up lol.

I've noticed that doorways seem to be giving summons and NPC monsters a lot of difficulty lately, like they really don't want to cross them.

I'm still seeing this today. I walked up to a group of driders out of stealth, no invisibility, and they accepted me as one of their own until I attacked them.

Re: Monster AI Behaving Strangely
This has happened to me plenty of times. Usually I walk up to the monsters and kill them anyways. One time I walked right by an ancient rust monster and a bunch of golems though and none of them moved or attacked. Another time I walked by a mountain orc ambusher and he did nothing but stand there.

Having the same issue on Anemoi. So far investigation shows that their perception event just isn't firing. DM possession suggests that it's possible the creatures literally can't see other creatures (not just PCs), as if they had no perception range.
I suspect a Beamdog bug.
